Got out today.  Another new location.  WINDY, chilly and overcast.   Water was 61 degrees.  My kind of day!
Nobody at the ramp at 7.  I thought they would kill the buzzer but but they didn’t.   Caught a few in an area that looked really good so I went back through with a crank and really got on em.
Couldn’t keep the crank bite going even switched colors several times.   No bites on the wacky.  Finished the day on the Ned catching one after another but all small.  Great fun though.
I lost two big fish today.  One when I threw over a log and he sawed through the line while I drifted downstream.  The other one was operator error on the knot.  Nice ones too!   Left about 3.
Oh.  I adjusted one on the grates on my jet foot 😆.  Can’t see a lot with the heavy riffle from the wind and the overcast skies.  And I’ve never been there….   Stuff happens.  🤷‍♂️

Ouchee, been there done that. I keep a small box of tools in the jet. A smallish ball peen hammer and a drift pin made from a large nail some diameter as the pin holding the grates. Pull offending grate grab hammer and go to work on a log to straighten enough to get by until an anvil is available. Pete your impeller looks great. I have a few cosmetic blemishes on my impeller I need to file out some.

I haven’t sifted my gravel so the impeller is fine.  It’s amazing how shallow it runs when I’m by myself.

Same from me when I am solo fishing but tend to push limits at times.

What did you use to get the whole pin out?    Did you pull it out from the other end once you got it started with the nail?

The nail is really long. I will get you a pic of what I use. Yes, pulling from other end helps.
