Acorns and hickory nuts everywhere. A tree by my daughters house is loaded with walnuts though. HOA demands they produce😂 snagged in outlet 3 and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
jdmidwest Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 We had walnuts, tree rats been cutting since August. Dropped the last round a few weeks ago and all gone now. Not seen any acorns here. Persimmons loaded up this year. snagged in outlet 3 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

I think it’s better, for everyone that might be involved, if I just stay out here with the commoners. snagged in outlet 3 1

Most of it petty BS but I like a lot of the rules. My oldest daughter had a neighbor behind her with an above ground pool that they quit caring for. after 10 years It was a disaster. Ideally I would like several acres with equipment shed/work shop big enough for the boat and cars. But Momma grew up on a dairy farm in eastern Illinois “near” a town of a couple hundred people. To say she isn’t having it is an understatement 😂. The burbs have been my natural environment since birth so I guess I’m used to it. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

That edge has moved. snagged in outlet 3 1
ColdWaterFshr Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 I grew up in Springfield first 20 years of my life. Rountree neighborhood. Miss that area, and I go back frequently, but its quite a bit different than 30-40 years ago. Mostly better I think, but I never imagined the outward sprawl toward ozark, nixa, and republic. Heck, I didn't see that coming at Taney. Branson used to be a seasonal town, and semi-blighted back in the early 80s, like Rockaway Beach. snagged in outlet 3 1

Had an “ incident” that required me to go before the judge. Never went back. I run down there occasionally just to look around. Crazy how far down it’s gone. Branson is whole different animal than back then. My old neighborhood has changed dramatically since then. I left in the 80’s. North county.

It’s a decent area these days for the most part. At least it has character. The city limits of Springfield is only about a half mile away. The city limits of Republic is only about a mile past that. And the kids in the area go to school in Willard. It’s a strange place.
