Last I heard they had not identified the shooter because nobody saw nuthin. Just a bunch of punks causing problems. I used to take pics of them playing basketball but I gave that up because it just started turning into a long argument, rather than a game. We had great refs in the beginning but they all quit. Some during games. That’s always fun. Not to mention that there are certain words that you can’t say because it’s disrespectful to them but they can scream it at each other and you can’t say anything about that either. All the talent in the world wasted on being a tough guy. snagged in outlet 3 and fishinwrench 1 1

I’ve traveled all over the country and Springfields homeless problem might not be as bad as others but we take the award for having the worst acting homeless I have ever seen. They will yell at you for money or a cigarette. And then trash everything. Poop on the sidewalk, leave dirty needles everywhere, smash anything that’s breakable. These are not people trying to get back on their feet. Just a bunch of bums that should be encouraged to move along. But the city is more worried about writing parking tickets to people that are contributing to society. Every other small city I go to is revitalizing their downtown and making it a destination. In Springfield they have spent a bunch of money turning it into a crime scene. People laying all over the square, taking baths in the fountain, leaving their trash everywhere. Nobody says anything. But you park wrong or are there a few minutes too long and that will be sixty bucks. This city is screwed. It’s time to clean house and they can start with the chief of police. I’m not even sure if he’s that bad but it’s time to try something new.

The authorities can ENCOURAGE them to move along.....but they can't force them to. If they commit an arrestable crime, and they can be identified, then they can be thrown in jail..... but odds are they have no money, or any close family with money that cares, so what are ya gonna do with them? Feed them, give them a bible, and hold them until their release date.....Then set them free again. I have a solution 💡 MDC should scoop them up, give them fishing poles, and take them TROUT FISHING at the urban ponds. And parade the pics of such humanitarian efforts in the pages of the Conservationist magazine. 👍

They don’t have to force them to move along. All they need to do is “check on them”. Sooner or later they will get tired of the police checking on them and they will move along. But instead they just sit in their cars watching. Doing nothing.

There was a bunch living under the 70 bridge near historic St. Charles. They were right in the heart of a new river front development. The city decided that area “needed” some structural help so they brought in some giant rip rap. Nobody could live on that stuff. I don’t know where they went after that. I see a few people trying to panhandle in the county near the grocery stores but they won’t be there long. Not sure what they do with them or where they go.

Not sure what they do with them or where they go. They eventually go to Springfield and claim a corner. There's an old guy that is at the same corner daily. And has been for over a year now. And for the record I'm not against these people. I'm against them trashing everything that they can get their hands on. Or the ones that panhandle while driving new cars. One young man, freezing his balls off in KC this morning, received a nice wad of cash from me this morning. Whatever was left from buying a coffee and a sandwich from a twenty. I have zero issues helping and always keep some cash on me to do so. But I'm tired of the ones that think you owe them something or are just out there conning people. I bet my wife spends a few hundred a month on them. I used to try to reason with her. I did finally convince her that it's not okay to give them rides or let them use her phone. But she's a different soul. We are polar opposites. Her name is Angel, and mine is no where close. snagged in outlet 3, fishinwrench and bfishn 3
fishinwrench Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Just as an experiment we should all be thrown out of our homes, removed of our assets and totally abandoned.....Just to see how quickly we can rebound. I like to say that I was once, and it took me 7 months.....but in truth I still had a piece of property to squat on, 1100.00 in the bank, and had people to call that would have helped if I truly became desperate.
fishinwrench Posted January 3 Posted January 3 In this day and age though there are people making a fine living doing nothing but posting daily on YT or Onlyfans. It appears that all you need to sustain yourself is a cell phone and a WiFi connection.

Took me a year after my divorce. My lawyer, her lawyer, credit cards and court fees. That was back in the day of "the schedule". How much do you make, how many kids, pay this much. I lived in my car in a buddies basement garage for a while and stayed with friends or family on the weekends. Couch surfed I guess!😂 Finally got enough to share an apartment with a guy I worked with. Went many Thursday's and Fridays without food until the next paycheck came. It turned out to a good quit-smoking program. Easy to quit if you can't buy them....Good times!!😀 nomolites, fishinwrench, BilletHead and 1 other 4
