Have you forgotten what it was like? 😅 1/2 ton 2wd trucks had 396's & 454's in them. And gas was .45 a gal. So if you were gonna put a motor in something... you didn't F✓€¥ around! awhuber and nomolites 1 1

They wanted a fast boat and the biggest outboard back then was a 140hp or so. I/O are real inefficient, you lose 15% power every time it turns, and it turns twice with an I/O snagged in outlet 3 1 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

In 73, I was 10 and cranking on my cheap a ss old great uncles 9hp Johnson in the Jon boat hoping I was not going to paddle back to the old Greenville boat ramp. Nothing seemed to be going any faster than us. And they sure weren't towing us back. I was peeling turf back on the edges of old 67 hwy that was abandoned for nightcrawlers to catch drum and white bass. No glory there, just good times and good fishing. Not forgotten. You were just spoiled on them big name lakes. bfishn 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson

Used to fill up my 5hp Briggs&Stratton mini-bike AND buy a Coke and a Slim Jim....all for less than a dollar. Man those were the days!!!! 🤗 I didn't get turned loose with the motorboats until I was 12.

When I ran my paper routes it was always a Dr Pepper and a butterfinger. Soda came out of those old steel soda machines you pulled the bottle around the track to get them out. George at the market kept butterfingers in same machine for me. Ice cold butterfinger and Dr Pepper🔥. bfishn, fishinwrench and TRRANGER 3
