luckycraft Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Unfortunately this will continue. Heard today that the CHEIFS game on peacock was the most watched streaming event ever. Open those wallets up, the NFL is ready to take more money

Nick Adams Posted January 16 Posted January 16 what are we comparing that to? That's a pretty typical NFL playoff number. usually, 97 of the top 100 rated TV shows are NFL games. I'm not exaggerating. What other live programs are streamed?

Just stating facts. This event required subscriptions or to pay money and had 6% more people viewing it to the NFC wild card game which was free. My point is that this will be the trend whether people like it or not. Thursday night games on prime for example…. College will soon follow. People will have to have 3-4 different streaming services to get the games they wish to watch. https://corporate.comcast.com/press/releases/peacock-wildcard#:~:text=Dolphins-Chiefs averages 23 million,Wild Card Game by 6%. laker67 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I had Peacock as a free app until this NFL debacle. Suddenly greed has no limits. I'm about ready to listen on the radio and forget televised events. Tired of being taken advantage of. snagged in outlet 3 1
Ryan Miloshewski Posted January 16 Posted January 16 It was $5.99 and you could cancel the trial the next day. It's not the end of the world. You know people pay $500 for Red Zone each year, right? “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold

People do and will continue to spend money to watch games, and now, bet on them from their phones. $5.99 is the red herring. snagged in outlet 3 1 “To those devoid of imagination a blank place on the map is a useless waste; to others, the most valuable part.”--Aldo Leopold

That was my point, more and more games that were free will continue to go to streaming. People will continue to pay. I just wish I had a product that could make me 162 million in roughly 3 hours (27 million viewers times roughly 6 bucks). That doesn’t include what they made in advertising. Ryan Miloshewski 1
