that is my way of saying I've never been there because I had no incentive; if that scares you, I'm sorry. I had no intention of traumatizing anyone. Again I'm so sorry.

Don’t let it bother you 😂 some people need safe spaces

Uhhhh . . . .traumatized or scared?   I was the only one encouraging exactly the opposite.  Exploration.  You're the one that brought up the section being "well below Blue Ribbon area" and some degree of apprehension with landowners and "strange county roads".  🤣

Well I am not one that is scared of landowners or strange country roads, but I know a crappy float when I see one. If you want to walk your canoe down river on a leash, while occasionally dragging it over log jams and dry land then go right ahead. But that's not floating. But you do you stud. You seem to be tougher and smarter than the rest of us.

I'd rather knock on the landowner's door and get permission to park in his yard than risk not knowing where the vehicle got towed to,  especially when hours away from home.  If you want to do otherwise I won't stop you. But if you don't ask, I reckon you deserve to be towed. And I wasn't looking to float when I explored those roads. I guess I misinterpreted  some of the early responses thinking they were based on the upper part of the creek and while I'd certainly agree that the blue ribbon area isn't float water, I'm  kinda surprised that Spring Creek doesn't add enough water to  improve that, but you have to believe those who have been there.

Crane is far enough away and there is enough stream inside the public access that I'll probably never  see all of that, so access in the lower reaches isn't of great concern to me.  I would love to read your report though if any of you either hike or float it in the future. .

On paper, yeah, it certainly looks it.    But you haven't seen it, and from what I can tell, no one else here has either.  Thats the old man in you talking.  Flysmallie of 20 years ago wouldn't shy away from an adventure.  That lower stretch could be an absolute gem.

By god, I'm going to float it before the ides of March.  Who's with me?

Crane.pdfCrane.pdfIf there was anyone to attempt that with, it would be Coldwater, and a few other solid floaters. Wire Road to Kerr looks doable, and there are several bridges, unfortunately it looks like there is allot of cattle pasture on the lower end.

It doesn’t matter if you are a “Solid” floater. It’s more of a hike.

You east side girls think it’s a tough thing but it’s really an intelligence thing, and that’s where you guys seem to be lacking.

We will look forward  to your report, those herp guys did 6 miles of the  lower end in August, so we know it can be done and this time of year the water should be better  depth than in August. They did mention not good for canoes, very technical, and log  jams though.

Wait . . . snake study.

This is the creek with the cottonmouth problem right?  I can handle all assortment and variety of methheads, 400 rod portages over logjams . . sketchy county roads, flat tires, and tragic out-of-beer situations.  I've been sucker punched in the face, lost teeth, and spent many overnights a jail cell bunk.  Tried soberly arguements with a magistrate judge the next morning about Blue Ribbon anglers rights and jurisprudence to no avail.   All pleasant situations compared to poison ivy, ticks, and . . . .cottonmouths, this is where I draw the line.  Tell me more about the herp guys and what they found . . . .
