Tap water gives them that white crusty oxidation that squeaks like the devil.

Sand the paint off the back side where the back of the blade meets the rivet.

It isn't the "squeal" that makes the Dolphin a wicked buzzbait.    

It's that brass ball that the blade knocks against.    Not only make it "clack" but also makes the skirt (and whatever trailer you use) dance like crazy.

I use the Booyah with the little flag that sticks out to hit the blade.

Crok-o-gator has a nice flat head that you can bend the blade wire back and get contact with the head.  Creates a nice clack.

Add a drop or two of Clorox bleach and it only takes a couple days to get that oxidation.
