jdmidwest Posted June 29 Author Posted June 29 Cycle is pretty well completed. The last wind storm that came thru last week blew tips off the oak trees and they are scattered on the ground around here. After they mate, they bore holes in the ends of tree limbs and lay eggs. Around here, mostly oaks. The tips of the limbs turn brown and die, break off, fall to ground and the larva enter for another 13 or 17 years. snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 30 Posted June 30 When I was a kid there must’ve been a hatch. I remember shooting them with a pellet gun.
