On the water at 5:30 and went straight to the back of the cove where the water was a little dirty.   Threw the buzzer from the start.   I looked at Google maps and picked coves that would be shady when the sun popped up.  I paralleled the bank and caught them really well after an hour of nothing.
20 plus fish in 2.5 hours and missed at least 10 more.   Never caught one on a follow up bait.  And I tried a whacky rig, Ned, Texas rigged worm and a square bill.  Only caught one that barely touched 15”.   All the rest just under.  Like they had been culled.
Left em bitin since momma wanted to go to the farmers market.   I’m hoping I paid it forward for tomorrow.

Some of the just suck it under and others whack it.  I put the troller on 30% and just kept throwing.

Do you use a trailer hook?

1/4 oz buzz bait?   Do they make them that tiny?  Mine are mostly 1/2 oz.  Where do you get them, at the small shop.😜

When I go they will either eat the 1/2 oz or go hungry.🤤

Most of my tackle is geared towards river smallies and that 1/4 ounce works!
