Flysmallie Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Well it sucks, and I'm very sorry, but I can't make it. Just spent three days on the Jacks Fork and I have to take the lady of the house to the beach on the 21st. I hope you guys have a great time. dan hufferd and Daryk Campbell Sr 2

I'll put it in the humor thread. dan hufferd and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1
ness Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Alright, let's get this nailed down: Are we meeting at Y Bridge Park in Galena, around 1:00? What's the head count? What's on the menu? Backstrap medallions & ?? Hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, chips, beans, condiments?? I'm happy to chip in wherever. John
Gavin Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Head count, arrival times, and a meal plan. I usually do a Friday or Saturday night for 20 while primitive camping on a gravel bar in January. Your meal plan should include the gear you intend to cook it with so you know it is there. It helps to have a big stock pot, a couple of campfire grills, full size two burner propane stove, big skillet, a couple chef knives v pocket knives, cutting boards, and some portable tables, a couple dutch ovens. Pre cook and vac pack what you can so it wont get soggy in a cooler. Have a great time guys! Wish I could make it, but I have another commitment.
ness Posted September 16 Posted September 16 This isn't an overnighter -- just several guys floating and then them, and a few non-floaters, meeting up for a quick gathering afterward around Galena. I'm going to drive down Friday evening, stay overnight and wade fish in the area Saturday morning. Then I'll head over to the meeting place. I plan to head home Saturday evening. dan hufferd and BilletHead 2 John
Quillback Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I plan on going, I'll just be there for the eats. I'll bring my small grill, charcoal and lighter. I will also volunteer to bring cups, napkins, plates, and plastic utensils. I'll try and remember to throw a case of water in there too. Who is bringing the Vienny sausages? 😃 Terrierman and BilletHead 1 1

Well, it's a hamburger/backstrap/hot dogs quickie at the takeout. So probably no stockpots or propane grills. But I bet we do not starve.... Quillback and Gavin 1 1

It's not that big of a show, I think we will be doing good to have 10 people, 1/2 of which aren't floating, but I think it will be fun. Thank you though maybe next time BilletHead and Terrierman 2
