I'm going to shoot for getting there about 12:30. That sounds better than what I see at the takeout: boat ramp and porta potty only. But I’ve never been there either. Flysmallie
Y Bridge park is in Galena just on the other side of the river. And yes it would be a better place. But there is plenty of room at Cox too. Just no fancy picnic area. You can get to either one from the other by walking over the Y bridge. Terrierman, ness and BilletHead 1

I’ll be over at the park slaving over a hot Blackstone for my OA brethren and Pat😀 dan hufferd, Terrierman, BilletHead and 1 other 1 1 2 John
Terrierman
We can do either place. Floaters can get to the Y bridge park on the right easily and then paddle over to the takeout. Or take out and then walk or drive over to the park. Supposed to be sunny and 90 Saturday. Shade will be welcomed is my guess. We can decide when we get there. For 10, with a tabletop blackstone and a tabletop weber, I don't think we will need a big grill. Comments?
Quillback
Looks like shade at the park. My vote is for the park. BilletHead, ness, dan hufferd and 1 other

Hint: When I lived in Carroll IA right after college, a fried summer sausage sandwich was a thing at the tavern.

It's a bucket list river. So whatever. But please do bring the blackstone, they're little miracle workers. Daryk Campbell Sr

I’m not cooking on the ground. 😀Hamburgers will be available at Y Bridge Park. BilletHead and dan hufferd 1 1 John

I can bring some fairly decent elk burger if you would like. And for sure backstrap medallions and summer sausage. Quillback
