Dutch Posted September 27 Posted September 27 My neighbor and I have been on a decent swim bait bite at Stockton. I make 2 kinds of swim baits and they don’t work as well as the Keitech swing impact fat. I’m looking for something else to use that is more durable. I rarely get more than 2 fish per Keitech. What are you guys using?
Members GotaFish Posted September 27 Members Posted September 27 Last month I placed my first order with Tackle Max. I got some Craws, Hellgramites, Fugitive Swimbaits and Max Blitz jig heads. I was very pleased with my purchase as it was apparent the jig heads were specifically designed to be paired with the Craws and Swimbaits. I caught over a dozen smallmouth on a Monkey Milk Swimbait and it is ready to catch a dozen more on my next trip. BilletHead and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
Dutch Posted September 27 Author Posted September 27 Thanks for the response. I’ve been thinking about them.
JUNGLE JIM 1 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I've been using the 3.25 inch Rage Swimmer rigged with a small coil keeper with belly weighted head that I pour and paint. They seem more durable than the fat Keitech baits which I also use. First bait is 1/4 oz with blade and second is 1/8 rigged with 1.5" crappie tube. BilletHead, Daryk Campbell Sr and dpitt 3

Dutch Posted October 18 Author Posted October 18 I bought some Tackle Max Fugitive swim baits. The first one that I tried got ripped on the second fish. I replaced it and had good success with its replacement. I used Mend-It and fixed it. After using it for 2 trips it is back on the work bench letting the Mend-It repair dry. I wish that Mitch made a 2.8 so I could quit buying Keitechs. nomolites and BilletHead 2
