It's my understanding that they were stocked in the James River in VA to create a trophy fishery. I believe that was done in the 80's. I think that they thought at the time that the salinity of the bay would have kept them from spreading throughout the bay. Obviously that was not the case since blues are found in almost if not all river and tributaries of the bay. The blue cats and flatheads found in MD are considered to be invasives. They cannot be moved live from any body of water. dpitt and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
FishnDave Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 For a large fee.... maybe we could harvest Blues and Flatheads from MD and bring them back to MO .... ALIVE! dpitt 1

I have not read that one. I have read his book on Hawaii and on Mexico. Incredibly fascinating and informative/historical books!

I was living in AR at the time and found the duck hunting/market gunning stories interesting. dpitt 1

Quillback Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 You have to wonder if it will do any good as long as the blues are still around. Terrierman 1
