I tied two versions one with flexible wire, and one with rigid wire, the flexible wire can foul, but centrifigul force mostly kept it seperated, and I think when stripped through the water they will unfoul. The rigid wire version is basically foul proof. snagged in outlet 3 and BilletHead 2

The one in the article/video? How can the trailer move if it's at the end of a tube? the 40# mono supported by UV resin should pretty much stay separate too, I would think, the 40# mono I have is rather stiff; and with the none of the teasers containing a hook, entanglement seems unlikely to me. The writer said- Quote Dagur ties both a 6-inch version and a 12-inch version of the Sweet Home Alabama. He uses a 4-weight and a 6-weight rod for the smaller pattern and fishes the 12-inch rig on an 8-10 weight rod. I was able to throw the 6-inch version on a 7-weight rod 60 feet with a crosswind. dpitt and ColdWaterFshr 2

Gavin Posted Saturday at 10:49 PM Posted Saturday at 10:49 PM That kinda reminds me of my old spawn sack fly pattern. I tied 8-10 peach glowballs on short individual monofilament strands and lashed all the strands to a single wooly bugger hook wrapped with ice sparkle chenille. I was a novelty, but it did catch some stocked trout in muddy county park lakes. The could SEE if for sure. Flysmallie, snagged in outlet 3 and dpitt 3
tjm Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM Posted Sunday at 02:36 PM Back east I could fish five flies on a cast and I set up dropper wets to resemble a cluster of fry, it caught a few fish but a single fly or three spaced much farther apart seemed to catch more. I do like his use of the tube and the stiff mono with differing fly weights to keep the shape and relative orientation during the retrieve. It looks like largemouth or pike bait to me. dpitt 1
