Members Fallguy Posted Thursday at 03:26 AM Members Posted Thursday at 03:26 AM I'm currently looking for a ned rig jig head. My favorite was the Ozark Finesse Jig Head that Dave made. The #2 Mustad Salmon hook was perfect. Is their anyone making this jig head now? That hook was strong and I have caught 4-5 lbers on that thing. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

They way i see it is Im on 6lb line with a spinning real with good drag, Im not going to bend them out unless i just horse them in. I think Dutch makes some that are a little more unique than the typical ned head. He seems to catch a lot on the ned Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM I'm interested as well. I may have a couple of Dave's left. But it's been a while since I've fished ned. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. Dutch Posted Thursday at 10:57 AM Posted Thursday at 10:57 AM I’ve tried lots of styles, including Dave’s, I like the type with the new weedless Midwest Finesse mold and the Victory hook. They are a lot like the ones that you can get from Jades Jigs. Jadesjigs and Daryk Campbell Sr 1 1
Quillback Posted Thursday at 11:46 AM Posted Thursday at 11:46 AM I emailed Dave a couple of years ago and he sounded like he wasn't going to manufacture the Ned heads anymore. They are my all time favorite and I have experimented with quite a few others. He used a #2 stout Mustad hook, no bait keeper, shroom head, and a weed guard. Easy to slide Elaztech baits on it, the shroom head provided a good surface to glue the head. Hands down the best Ned head for Elaztech baits, IMO. Theirs a bunch of Ned heads for sale on TW. Most of them don't have weed guards. Most of them have bigger hooks. Most of them have have some sort of bait keeper. The best heads that I use for Ned heads are the 6th Sense Devine Ned heads. They come 4 to a pack and are reasonably priced. A 1/0 sickle style hook. V-shaped wire weed guard. It's a football head and has a molded into the head bait keeper which means to get Elaztech glued to the head you'll have to push the plastic over the bait keeper which takes a few seconds, but it will work. Here's a pic from Jan 2 where you can see the 6th Sense head, they work: snagged in outlet 3 and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
Ham Posted Thursday at 12:23 PM Posted Thursday at 12:23 PM Last I heard which was a while ago, Dave was making them in bulk and selling to a vendor, but did not want to sell to individuals any longer. Macsimus Posted Thursday at 01:56 PM Posted Thursday at 01:56 PM My enthusiastic vote goes to the Five Fish Lures Ultimate Ned Jigs. They have a good variety of weights, the hook sizes are perfect and strong, and they have a great braided wire weedguard which does not unravel and can easily be bent back into shape.
