Johnsfolly Posted Sunday at 09:15 PM Posted Sunday at 09:15 PM I always figured on fishing for gar in the summer. May have to rethink that and get out this spring. Always been chasing some other fish. Need to get me a longnose.in MD or DE this year. https://www.outdoorlife.com/fishing/fisherman-breaks-maryland-longnose-gar-record/ Ham, BilletHead and FishnDave 3

Quillback Posted Sunday at 10:32 PM Posted Sunday at 10:32 PM James river arm of Table Rock is choked with those things in the summer. Johnsfolly and FishnDave 2
FishnDave Posted Monday at 11:47 PM Posted Monday at 11:47 PM Those are fat gar! I assume females? I caught one that long (49.5") in 2023, but it was NOT a fat one. Longnose Gar are COOL!! Missouri's record, caught in 2021, is 32 lb 10 oz.... I couldn't readily find info on it's length. Ham and Johnsfolly 2
Ham Posted Tuesday at 06:56 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:56 PM I’ve seen some really Large ones in The Big Stinky oxbow. I really hope to get one to hand. they are large enough that I’ll have to beach them or buy a Musky cradle FishnDave, BilletHead and Johnsfolly 3 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Johnsfolly Posted Tuesday at 07:47 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 07:47 PM I have fished a couple of small sections of the Marshyhope creek and have not even seen a gar. I have seen ones gulping at the surface of the Nanticoke river in DE. Ham and FishnDave 2
