2025 morel season

I've been done since Sunday for the most part... We should have a revival of Gavin's After Tax Season Party on the Current. Globall Dave moved to Arizona years ago, but the folks up the hill at Pinecrest are nice. They have a nice pavillion with a band stand and PA system. We wont have a 40' tall stack of  barn debris to burn, but we could figure something out. Wonder what happened to the bonfire picture? That trip was a hoot!

To be honest, once they are cooked and in my mouth I can't tell the difference between morels and the reasonably inexpensive mushrooms at the grocery store.  

Actually yes I can..... because after getting the ones at the store I am not covered in ticks.   😊

All mushrooms taste the same to me. 

All beer.....not so much 🤷‍♂️.  I like MGD because it's smooth and doesn't give me a headache. 👍 

 

I won't pass up a batch of morels if I see them, but I can't justify walking a mile through the brush just in hopes of finding some.

Found one of those Lone Star bastards burrowed into my sack Monday evening - No I am not talking about a bag of morels. That will definitely be a temporary quell for craving the woods...
