The pop could have been the sound of cartilage separating from bone. Rib Cartilage Injury - Masnad Health Clinic Nice 👍. Yeah I'm down around #5-7 on the left side. It has really taken the wind out of my sails today. Wasn't near as bothersome yesterday or the day before. Happened on Monday. Maybe this margarita will take the edge off.... dpitt, snagged in outlet 3 and Quillback 3

Members pjlures Posted May 17 Members Posted May 17 Broke ribs 2 different times. Pain can take your breath away. Hate to tell you but I takes about 4 weeks and that's to get to just being sore. I have also "Popped" something in there as well. Lastime when bent over on my lawnmower and pinched something trying to reach stick on ground on the arm rest. You have my sympathy for either one. Just go ahead and complain....that helps some. fishinwrench 1

Have been whining and being a big puss all day.....cuz I'm sick of it. I've got things that need to be done, and there's nobody else that can do it. 😔 When I think about the anatomy of my ribcage, and think about all the things I've done and the hits I've taken in the past.....It blows my mind that I haven't EVER experienced this before. This freakin' sucks !!! 🙄
jdmidwest Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I popped a rib out at the sternum, still catches me some and takes breath away. Cartilage gets stressed and gives way, never really heals completely. Like knees and elbows that flex, surgery is needed to somewhat correct the problem. Broken ribs normally puncture lungs or skin depending which way they break.
