netboy Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Another funny story about that area. I occasionally launch my boat at the Ranchette Access, which is on the county road. When you turn off the highway to go to Ranchette there is big, very old oak tree with a carved wooden sign that says "The Talkin Tree". Thinking there must be a good story (perhaps an old Indian legend or something like that) behind the name, I asked our Trout Unlimited friends that live down there about it. The answer was.... Oh, that is closest place to get cell phone reception.😀 BilletHead, nomolites, snagged in outlet 3 and 1 other 1 3 Â

After venturing out there once, I can see why. I think Matt Stefan and some other MLF pros stayed there and had trouble getting their bass boats out.  Terrierman and netboy 2
gotmuddy Posted July 2 Posted July 2 What an awesome weekend. For sure it was hot. For sure my legs are on fire from all the darn steps.😗 Great food like always, amazing comradery. To be honest, I preferred it when we had no wifi or cell service, thursday/friday night everyone was sitting around BS'ing instead of watching screens, regardless it was still an awesome time.  Thursday evening fishing was trash. friday morning Rob, Ray, and I went to the bottom of rim and I caught back to back fish my first two casts. fishing was fair until around 11 then we went to crooked creek to cool off and do some wading. Ray caught some nice smallies. Saturday fishing sucked until we took the boat down and Brandon caught that 21" brown Johnsfolly, Ryan Miloshewski, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other 3 1 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
