Have you ever encountered a Blue Squirrel?

I have seen black squirrels, they are fairly common in New England, but never have seen one of those piebald dudes.

My wife grew up on a farm near Olney IL.  Home of the white squirrels.   We drive into town occasionally to check them out.

There was a population of the black squirrels near Bella Vista along L.Sugar Creek in the Caverna/Jane  area for years, I don't know if they are still or not.

            I will just stay with the counting coup strategy. Sit really still and touch them with my spear (long stick) when they walk by.
