As I was leaving Big M today, I passed the park attendant in his golf cart.  The parrot had a little perch on the side of the cart that it was standing on, and it was a real bird.

Found a top water bite today, only problem was I found it a little late and it didn't last long.  Also took me a bit to find out what topwater they wanted, which was the 90 size Plopper.  I think a 75 size would've been better as they were eating little one inch shad but did not have one on hand.  Caught a half dozen on top, which doesn't sound too good, but several swings and misses and several long distance releases.  Mostly spots, but there were some good fish out there.

Caught a handful on the jig early.

Things went dead at 0930.  I fished until 1130.

If I have time, I'll see if they are there Monday.  I'll be ready for them if they are.

Had a gull go after the Plopper - it snuck in from behind me and went straight for the plopper.  I had to reel it in as fast as I could to keep that dang bird from grabbing the plopper.  I learned that yelling at those things does not scare them off.  One of his buddies showed up and I had two of them chasing my plopper.  Had to stop casting for a bit until they left.

I had a gull take a Rebel Pop-R once, and I tried my best to unhook it kindly.....But he wasn't having it.   It got all tangled up in line and 2 other rods, and ended up in a bloody mess on the bow of my boat.

Jeez, one of my favorite lures... Once hooked a duck who dove to grab my hotdog while catfishing. Thankfully, hook came lose while he was peeling drag flying away.
