Here's another blue catfish article on how to deal with this successful invasive species in VA and MD.  As with most invasive it's too late to put the cat back in the bag once you realize that there's already a problem. Time will tell.

We have only eaten a few. We don't target them too often. Last summer we gave away those that we caught night fishing. Those were the biggest ones that we have caught here in MD. I don't recall any change in flavor to those that we ate in the Midwest. We'll have to do another taste test next year. You think that eating those crabs may effect the flavor as well 😉.

I prefer blue cats. I won't purposefully eat another channel cat. The white catfish out this way are also good eats.
