Snagged this walleye trolling rig.  Looks to have been in the lake for a while.

I can use it for blue cats over on Grand.

There have been lots of walleye fishermen in the Big M area of the lake, many more than I have seen since I've been fishing here.  They are catching them I hear.

Put in at ER. The walleye guy’s were out. Probably saw at least 15 dedicated walleye boats this morning.

Lake from Arkansas line to Big M was at maximum fisherman capacity.

Bass fishing was tough for us. 15 fish in 6 hours with 3 keepers.

It’s simply amazing how many fish will approach a jerkbait and reject it.

A-rig and jig for us.

Not mine. I used a single hook rig.

This is the time of year the walleye meat fishermen are out. Fortunately not all know what they are doing and are there because they heard they were biting. Unfortunately, several guides are taking clients out and keeping limits for every person in the boat. I hope they catch trout.

Pressure seems to be increasing.  I wonder if the walleye can handle it.  Might help to start stocking fingerlings on a regular basis.  As I understand it, MDC only stocks fingerlings in TR if they have a surplus left over from stocking other lakes.

March 15 is when AGFC does their brood stock capture on the upper Kings, it will be interesting to see how they do.

That date should tell my fellow fishermen about the spawn season. AGFC wants fish full of eggs, the easiest way possible.

I take it that the ramp and courtesy dock at Big M and Eagle Rock are good at this lake level.  True???????

Thanks,

Bobby

Yes. 2 feet lower and courtesy docks become iffy. 4 feet lower and bring a buddy at HI or Big M to idle up to the main dock. At 904, stay in the channel!

It's good, they moved the dock out to match the water level.  At Big M.  I assume ER has been moved too, but have not been there to verify.

That's a Berkeley, I would say it's mine but mine would be designated by now... it's been awhile.
