I should explain it is a Tick bite. I took the Tick off but had a small Bullseye.

Makes the second time first time put me in the Hospital having infection cut out.

Y'all ever wonder why tick bites are so dangerous now ?

I've been pulling ticks out of myself my whole life, and it was never a big deal.....But nowadays every tick causes some degree of panic.

It's either more medical BS being propagated via the Internet, or it is a form of biological warfare.  Population control maybe?

"Alpha gal" is responsible for the increased divorce rate.   How it got related to yet another type of parasite is beyond me.

1) Diseases evolve

2) Medical understanding of diseases evolves

3) Deer herd exponentially growing in the last 50 years (main vector of transmission)

The media blitz is ridiculous, though. If you spent any time in the outdoors your whole life, you've had ticks. Just take precautions and if you get bit, so it goes. The fear mongering is exhausting. If I get alpga-gal then I'll just eat ducks. I'll miss ribeyes. Might just have to get an epipen and eat one once a quarter and jab myself.

Well tell you I had one give me about one foot circle of infection that I couldn’t see but felt.

This wasn’t your ordinary Tick bite.

Ticks are getting infected by foreign disease, invasive species bring it in.

Over population of carrier species, fur bearers, armadillos, otters, etc.  Lots of critters that were not here 60 years ago.  And a buttload of deer, cameras show them suffering badly from them.

Seed ticks always welped me up as a kid.  When I mashed a tick in my fingernails, it smelled like the herbicide they sprayed powerlines with.

My farm was covered with cows, hogs, chickens, and dogs as a kid.  Fields were cultivated and pastured.  Woods were pastured also and open.

Now, nature has let things grow up and I mow and brush hog, underbrush getting thicker.  I never get into seed ticks, mostly yearlings or mature adults.

Buffalo gnat attack tonite when I mudded in tomato plants.  Those viscious critters arrived a few years ago.
