I'm aware of the non smokers who get lung cancer and the claim is due to second hand smoke.

Every time I hear 'second-hand smoke' I think of Larry the Cable Guy saying his sister got cancer from 'second-hand chew' :D

Pass laws that smokers can't get medical treatment, or that they have to prepay, that sill allows them free will.

Pass laws that prevent hospitals and pharma from any  any payment that includes tax. money.

I would vote for laws to restrict hair dye and plastic bottles as both those have gagging odors. And the stinking new shoes at department stores. We are exposed to so many hundreds of unnatural aromatics today that no one has any idea what is the cause of lung disease or cancer. Microfibers (plastic, aren't they?) have become a part of most peoples diet and I'm sure they are in the air  of any big store. The studies that tie a thing to a disease start out with result wanted and fit all "facts" and "evidence" to the desired result. Fact is about 10% of all water drinkers in the USA get cancer. The CDC ought to investigate water.  Smoke from organic material is a natural part of the environment that we  are adapted to live with,  I'd be  a lot less worried about you smoking in front of me than I would be if you wore synthetic clothing and hair dye.

I think it's complicated. We all end up paying for COPD treatment, lung cancer treatments, and heart disease/stroke treatment once the smokers are on Medicare. Or the people on our company health plans. There really isn't anything quite like tobacco products in terms of the risk of health problems. Poor eating habits and alcohol certainly have their health risks, too, and the Brits aren't banning Fish N Chips or pints yet.

And Zippo lighters, who remembers those?  I guess you can still get them.  They were refillable, you'd buy a lighter and a can of Zippo lighter fluid.

I probably own 30 or more real branded Zippos.  Many more knock offs.  I have collected lighters since before I began smoking and long after I stopped.  Actually @Al Agnew has a collection of Zippos  that was available through Bradford Exchange I believe.   I had a postcard that offered them years ago.   I may still have it.  I wanted to buy them but money was tighter then.   I have many novelty lighters as well.

I use to smoke 3 packs a day and dip SKOLE , drink 3 pots of Coffee, and consumed great amounts of Alcohol.

I enjoyed smoking very much.

Now I use Edibles I could say instead of Hydrocodone but I do enjoy the buzz.

Don’t smoke, dip or drink Coffee.
