Had a limit with a kicker.  As lundone said they were more shallow. 10 to 15 ft.  Three the first keeper back. Also had one short.  3 were 17. Big one 24 1/2. And weighed 6 pounds. Probably the fatest one I have ever caught

Nice! I like the fact more big walleye are showing up again, haven't heard of the 14-15 pounders that used to show up.....with the lake strain far out numbering the native river strain...

I asked a state biologist why they didn't stock more of those instead, he said they have tried, but they where troublesome to raise in numbers, thats the same strain that produced the 21..pound state record...and numerous fish in the high teens

MONKEYS? what monkeys?

think raising the length limit would help greatly way too many little ones taken out befoe they can grow up, it use to be common to catch some quality fish before they lowered the length limit

lmt, That is a very fat fish!

jim m, We have discussed length limits in the past and I too would like to see it raised to 18".  Went to Bull Shoals recently and we caught a lot of 20 to 24" fish that were very fat.  We did catch a lot of shorts but when most of them are 17+ they are a lot more fun.
