One week at a time. Chiefs are a tough out at home.

I’m not sure if it has the power to drive down into the gravel. I love the concept, but expense, concerns that it might be ineffective, and weight have kept me from pulling the trigger.

Bummer.

I am completely satisfied with my Falcon Cara Finesse Jig rod. It’s fantastic, but every tool has its limitations. It’s better at 1/4 to 5/8 oz Jigs. Great for FB Jigs and worm fishing.

I stuck with the literal translation of the thread and posted a pic of first fish caught. Heck! I might not catch a Big Fish all year.

I absolutely agree. I’m trying to get that 8-11 foot depth with a slow steady wobble. I think you guys are often grinding shallower stuff on TR.

I much prefer the RK55 to a wart, but I see no need for the 50 size

I love the RK 55, but I have no initial interest in the 50 size.

Anybody have any experience with the Fitzgerald rod. Bryan Thrift Topwater rod seems about right.

I’m a big fan of Lews Bait Casters, but Ill never buy another Lews spinning reel. I bought Team Gold and they are Just not good enough for the money. Shimano lost me forever with binding issues. Daiwa and Pflugers for me.

And so it begins. I put in across the River from the house. I had a bite on the first cast, but didn’t catch a fish until my 3rd cast of the year. I fished for about an hour. I caught 12. I had about another 1/2 dozen hooked. Water was pretty trashy, but I made it work a little. For a little bit, I had caught twice as many Browns as Rainbows.

If it bums you out when people count the fish they catch, you should look the other way right now. ************************************************************************************************ 2018 was a tough year for me. My Dad’s health failed. I was unable to take him fishing again before he died. I fish because I loved spending time with my Dad. I likely would not be a fisherman without his loving guidance. Thanks Dad ! You were the Best. by the Numbers I fished in 4 states. I fished with 15 friends and family. I was able to make 78 fishing trips. I caught 45 species of fish. I caught 2757 fish all together. best I could tell I made 27 trips in the trout boat, 13 trips in the BassCat, 14 trips in a yak/canoe, 11 trips wading, and 13 trips as a guest in someone else’s boat. I had some tremendous experiences and I Thank everyone that took the time to fish with me. I hope to have a fun and successful 2019. I’ve got Big, Crazy ideas for my fishing in 2019. It’s gonna be stupid Fun!
