  1. Not gonna be there. I got life issues.
  2. I continue to have a couple Top Dollars waiting at my house to be sold or traded to someone that would fish those silly things.
  3. Land Big Fish has been running 20% off sales off and on. Tackle Warehouse often has a sale around Tax Deadline time.
  4. I'm really impressed with the RK. I had to have a good day with Wart before I jumped on the RK mule, but I reach for RK first. for all the reasons Charlie listed. I am saturated with square bills. I don't need any more at all. The colors sn the RK are great as is. I can think of 3 or 4 more Colors I would like to see, but so what.
  5. Ehhh Dave, FYI, you have a significant stash of everything
  6. Maybe it will turn into a Great striper fishery
  7. It Takes all kinds. I hope my bait will catch em and I change it when it doesn't.
  8. More like BFF's?
  9. Screw the Browns! Get into some of the natural spawn freestone >20 inch Rainbows!
  10. I'm sure that more than one variable affects the fish but water temp seems to trump all others. Fish are full on spawning in south Florida because the water is warmer Not because their days are longer. Power Plant lakes see a really early spawn because the water is warm. I had post spawn fish at Lake Monticello in Texas the first few days of Feb on year nearby lakes weren't even in pre spawn.
  11. It's a nice river.
  12. I love them for the nose of a bait ONCE I get them in place. I usually curse colorfully prior to the installation being complete.
  13. The oval Rings are harder to deal with.
  14. I promised I would fish one if they held on Bull Shoals and I did, but no promises to fish more of them going forward .
  15. Honest to God I do better with a fingernail or a hook point than split ring pliers. Its sad, but true. Super Dave doesn't like me to run power tools and I apparently struggle with basic tools as well.
  16. My son had tremendous success on Dry Run Creek using size 10 flashback scuds on straight 10 lb mono. Absolute beasts Swim there. North Fork of the White is correct. You would be better off slinging White River Zig Jigs than in line spinners, but fish what you enjoy.

    Grrrr
  18. I have my ideas about what I want to throw when. It's water color, available light, and actively level of the fish that matter to me. I have baits with almost no color and some that are scary bright.
  19. Tremendous fly and spin fishing opportunities on White River, Norfork, NFOW, and Taneycomo. I'm not sure what you're looking for that you aren't finding. All the local trout shops are plenty helpful IMO. They can tell you what the trout have been doing lately. The Caddis hatch will likely be on the wane. Sulphur mayflies are spotty at best, but it can be awesome if in the right place. A little early for hoppers, but you could find some that would bite it. generally Big flys on dry run, normal size on White, and small stuff on Norfork. You want heavy stuff to get down and stay down in the current on NFOW cant go wrong with size 16 and 18 zebra midges and Ruby midges, happy meal combos, and scuds. Good Luck
  20. I can almost guarantee you that you will not remember EVERY time. I frequently say I remembered to click 37. I'm pretty comfortable saying I did not double click any. When I'm in doubt, it don't count.
  21. Knock yourself out. I think part of the reason that HellBenders and Mudd Bugs got so popular is that there weren't a lot of other deep diving crankbaits available. Lots of other baits fill that role now. If I threw one now, it would be a nostalgia deal rather than it being the best option available.
  22. Careful. People will start questioning your motives and jump to all sorts on unseemly conclusions. you da man Marty.
  23. He also made a point of saying that he's an intellectual poacher. He thinks it is funny that he benefites from others posts without really adding much to the discussion.
  24. I had a 7 page article about my take on Jig fishing on my part of the White River written. Joe D called me a liar after one of my trip reports and I changed my mind about posting it and tossed it in the garbage. I don't know that I want to help him learn anything about fishing.
