  1. I like that song. But if we are to have an official OAF theme song I would have to suggest Ozark Mountain Daredevil's "Beauty In The River."
  2. Good work. And now you have a brand new boat outfitted the way you want. I like to see people doing these things instead of filling up our landfills.
  3. Or in front of a computer reading a fishing forum like I am doing. But a great post, Foxman, I enjoyed reading it.
  4. Ahhh I am trying to get to Heaven. And I am pretty sure if I shoot someone and the circumstances weren't what they seemed to be I would have to be buried in an asbestos casket. If I shot someone for just stealing my stuff, the asbestos probably won't be enough.
  5. I saw her in an ad on MeTV last night. She is still hot.
  6. I want to wait until seven. I like to have a cocktail or two with dinner so I need to get my chores done before eating.
  7. I am 56. I do remember the promise I made to myself when I was young that I was not going to sound like a crabby old man and complain about kids, today.
  8. I have yet to catch a fish on the darned thing. I hopped it around in Spanish Lake, once, and Crane Lake during Memorial Day weekend in my canoe. I will try it on Mark Twain this fall with my buddy Bob if I can find the time to get the boat out of storage.
  9. I like it. The "hook" side can come in handy. I am not sure what the "serrated" side is for. I built a kayak paddle with the wood left over from my cedar stripper and it is heavy.
  10. I don't carry. Now I live up here where most of you would refuse to even drive through but I believe that firearm has an equal chance of keeping me from getting killed or getting me shot when I would not have gotten shot if I didn't pull it out. But if any one breaks in my house there will be a terrible mess to clean up.
  11. The team with the second best record in baseball is 4-1/2 games behind us and we have four games coming up with them starting tomorrow.
  12. I think I would still be running...right tired...but still running.
  13. Al, I like that idea of a ping pong paddle or something similar.
  14. With all due respects to Brewer and Shipley I do prefer this version of that "modern day spiritual." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye3ecDYxOkg
  15. That is what I do...every time I fish.
  16. I believe the current chargers, due to the advanced electronics, are designed to be plugged in all of the time. They go into maintenance mode that the manufacture's claim extends the life of a battery.
  17. That's nothin'....now if he were to come up with full beer cans that is different.
  18. It appears to me the single most important factor was the water temperature. Someone once posted here that 70 something children die in this country each year choking on hot dogs. I know 250,000 people die of influenza each year. I imagine the number of people slipping in the shower and dying would surprise us. This is a country of over 300,000,000 million people and 8,000,000,000 people on the planet – there will be bad stuff happening every day and we will hear it because of the efficiency of the news media. But we must consider each day a gift and not live in fear. This is no consolation for this young girl’s family. For them I am truly grieved.
  19. I just read, today, that Geoffrey Lewis passed away. He was Clint Eastwood's co-star in a lot of movies. "Every Which Way But Loose" was one of them. I need to ammend my list and put that movie in it. "Right turn Clyde"
  20. That looks like quite the experience but the fist thing I thought of, when seeing the first picture, was ALLIGATORS.
  21. Todd Stiles (Route 66) Captain Picard (Star Trek Next Generation) Walter Bishop (Fringe) Briscoe County Jr. (Briscoe County Jr.) Lilith (Cheers)
  22. Hopefully it is just a spasm. For me a spasm feels just like a serious back injury but goes away in days. I used to lift in powerlifting tournaments (I wasn't any good) and had surgery in '96. I was fine up until a few years ago. It failed where it was operated on. I had three days of pain and then numbness down the leg. I will take the numbness and slight weakness over the pain. I do limit what I will pick up to my own bodyweight.
  23. Jerry, I think some of these high-falootin Table Rock and LOZ dudes are making fun of Clearwater.
  24. Goulash....I forgot this was about the goulash.
