In my grade school the principal had one on his wall labelled " The Board of Education."

This is amazing. It appears you have enough inertia in the project to continue on. We had a regular contributor -- I believe @Woodman -- who was amazing at this sort of thing. I epoxied my cedar stripper outside in the carport. It turned out to be a humid night and all of the epoxy is blemished. I was unsure about sanding it off with the fiberglass cloth so it remains as is. It does not affect its navigability and it does look good from a distance but that is what my wife says about me. And I wish there was an orbital sander that had the shape of the interior of a canoe. Keep us updated on this.

Yeah -- pretty much. He did some comedy albums and Jack Carney would play them on Saturday mornings. My last out of town project for CSI was in Houma, Louisiana. Trying to speak Cajun is fun.

Yeah but it was Duane and Dickie's guitar licks that made Midnight Rider immortal.. -

Ness, this is the funniest thing I have ever read on here. -
I do as well. He just did everything better than anyone else.

Is that not a Steve Earle song....and after reading this thread it appears we aren't fishing much.

Anybody have a portable solar generator?
David Unnerstall replied to snagged in outlet 3's topic in General Chat
If you don't absolutely need AC don't go that route.. Inverters vary in quality and only true sine wave inverters are worth the effort and they are expensive. But there still is loss in going from DC to AC. I have two solar panels, a charge controller and a trolling motor battery in the teardrop. I have USB and 12 volt outlets mounted in convenient locations. All of the lights are 12 volt LED's and the sound system is a car system with speakers inside and out. Everything I could ever need is 12 volt. -
That guy is complaining?

Snagged, thanks for this. After two falls the nerve infrastructure to the legs don't work. My outdoor adventures are limited to anywhere I can be home in a few hours and has cell access. Getting old is not for sissies. Regarding Bill Bablers topic: Social Security kicked in July and I siphon a bit off of the 401K and that is enough to be happy. I would like a garage for a boat, truck and car, now that I think of it.

I don't equate money with happiness. I quit my job last year to care for my wife and have not regretted it. I do not miss the paychecks.

Ness, that is nothing. Just make sure no one is passing you on the shoulder before making a right turn.

Well... I won twenty dollars playing cards at the bar last night so I think one would have to say I am a professional gambler.

The boat, itself, had no problem. It is just that the two newest items on it failed. And then there is the disappoint in how Humminbird manages its affairs.

My buddy Bob and I towed the MoPar vessel to Truman Lake for two days and both the brand new ten year old Humminbird 570 and the new two bank battery charger failed. I have a forty-two year old boat and outboard – no problems. The charger showed an error on the cranking battery. It has an inline fuse that was buried in shrink wrap that had an open. A new inline fuse fixed that. But the Sonar had 12 volts at its input but was dead and I was unwilling to do any more troubleshooting. So, six hundred dollars later I have a new Humminbird Helix 7 on the way. It arrives today and it has a note: if you want a different transducer send yours back and within three weeks or more we will ship you another. Now I do prefer the transducer on the trolling motor – I don’t want to see what I just passed over two minutes ago. I called the number on that note and asked for technical support; I asked if the trolling motor transducer was different or was the mounting hardware different. I was told the unit itself was different and I should not mount the unit that came with it on the trolling motor. You do not call technical support and disagree with them. I am puzzled why this was not an option when ordering it from Cabella’s. When you buy a pair of pants you DO have the option of selecting your size. And the swivel mount that I purchased separate had no hardware to attach it to the Helix 7 unit. Oh...And the fishing was terrible – bring an extra prop.

Price reduced 15’ stick steer boat with 50hp Johnson
David Unnerstall replied to Ranger520vx's topic in Buy - Sell - Trade
I owned a stick steer boat and it has a lot of advantages: No space is taken up with the console and seats only used for traveling. Better visibility sitting up front. When you want to fish just stand up and put the trolling motor in the water and sit back down. And I think it is easier to pull a fish out of the water. -
