  1. Steel cut oats seemed like it would make good animal feed, the ONE time I tried it. Oatmeal in the form of oatmeal raisin cookies, now there is a worthy use for oatmeal.
  2. FW beat me to it.

    Ozark

They did have a big Ole burger didn't they?
  4. I haven't had Malto Meal in so long I am not sure if I like it or not. I do like refrigerator oats, use a pint jar fill 3/4 or so with dry oatmeal, add a BIG spoonful of brown sugar and bunch of cinnamon and as many raisins, craisins, or dried blueberries as will fit. Fill with milk and shake, stick it in refrigerator and in morning eat it with a spoon. The old fashioned cooked oatmeal that is slimy and gelatinous I don't care what else you add to it I don't want it. Weird thing I would happily eat pickled pigs feet for breakfast so what do I know.
  5. Not me, I will argue with my wife until she quits. Of course I sleep in my recliner a lot too.
  6. Yeah, I don't see them collecting the $2 million. And a lawyer should have argued that he was NOT cooking the squirrel on the balcony, just burning off the hair. But if done right blowtorch cooked squirrel is probably delicious.🤢
  7. All I know is grits are delicious, oatmeal now that is disgusting.

    What's Cooking?

Since the surf and turf has a solid grip on top end food I will anchor the low end. Wife not feeling well so I fixed her some tomato soup. Then raided the fridge to see what I would be eating. Turns out it includes some salmon mixed with a couple whipped up eggs to make a sort of omlette, a left over blueberry pancake, some leftover little smokies, and a few pieces of leftover general tso chicken chunks. Will see how it sets about midnight.

    DANG!
  10. Now I am curious what a "slaunch magnet" is.
  11. I salt the heck out of my asparagus patch to kill grass. Asparagus doesn't seem to care about salt. For strawberries I usually give them a light shot of triple 13 or such early to get them started, then as they get ready to bloom I give them something like a 0-6-24 if I can find it, if not they get another dose of triple 13. Sometime ya use what ya got.
  12. I peeked into my cold frame, lots of lettuce for sure coming up. Won't open it again for a few days. Will be cleaning off the strawberries after the current cold spell passes, and gotta mow, salt and fertilize the asparagus too.
  13. That sucks big time. They are starting early this year.
  14. I will put $5 on the rooster winning the fight if no firearms are involved.
  15. Don't have a bucket list as such but would definitely like to fish the salt water some day. Red fish, Sheepshead and whatever else might bite.
  16. I am thinking that there was a time in your life FW that you would have given a kidney for that job.
  17. Oh man you are in the wrong place. 😀
  18. Most of the guys I know running a livescope fall into one of two categories. Either they would have caught a limit anyway, might have taken them a little longer but still would have, or category 2 unless there is a diver hooking fish into their hooks for them, they ain't gonna catch very many. Me I am lazy, and more importantly CHEAP, so I don't have anything more than a $100 unit. Heck often as not anymore if crappie fishing unless someone wants a mess to clean I am likely to throw them back, again the lazy part.
  19. I swear I could smell cedar while reading. Cool, way beyond my woodworking abilities but very cool. Can't wait to see it finished.

    Deer hanger

Used a similar system to the receiver hitch years ago. It had a lot of give and movement to it. Never broke but seemed to move more than I liked. I cheat I hang them from the bucket of the tractor and drive them to the hose area or if dark/raining/snowing I just drive it out to the tractor barn to get out of the wind. I also still have somewhere I think a half ton chain hoist that worked well too in the barn.
  21. Groundhog ain't bad, kind of like a big squirrel.
  22. First one I grabbed I was surprised at how heavy it was, dropped it and away he ran. I killed a young one last weekend, it was warm and he was out nosing around, bad choice for him. Armadillos get no quarter from me.
  23. Don't ignore it, especially with all your issues. If it goes bad your nickname will "onefoot"
  24. Meth labs can be unpredictable.
