  1. Beautiful fish. Any speculation on the age? 12 + yrs?
  2. Good news, I'm healthier than I thought.
  3. Yeah, I don't know how you guys deal with any of the lakes. Last weekend over 3 days fishing one of the best bass rivers in the state I only seen a dozen other water craft and only one boat of real fishermen.
  4. Thief and delusional numb skull. If this character represents some kind of movement or revolution he sure isn't doing his cause any favors. Some random questions: Does this Bundy dude have a late model truck in his driveway? Is that truck the result of a government business tax credit incentive? Do the unpaid grazing fees reflect market value? Is a civil war possible in one of the least corrupt, most wealthy, most stable countries in the history of mankind?
  5. Too late IMO, the time for sensible regulations was 25 + years ago before the explosion of high power river boat recreation. Now that so many have invested so much in boats it will never happen. I tried to make this point with some of my White River friends. Up untill minimum flow was introduced the river was regulated by the super low water. Now with months 800 cfs min. assured you can bet a lot of folks are buying higher powered boats as well as boats with UHMW hulls. There might yet be time to establish some sensable regulations but the window is closing fast.
  6. Sad, predictable.
  7. It's the same thing, you just throw it differently.
  8. Family, friends and fishing are the three most important things in this world and you have it it going on. Thanks for the report.
  9. Awesome fish.
  10. I replaced a lost Kershaw with an 8" Victorinox this year. It's little stiffer and easier to handle than a standard fillet knife, so far I'm very pleased.
  11. Yep, when i started fly fishing In the eighties the industry was full of people placing their names in front of some kind of "System". Good grief it was lame, that's why I stopped buying magazines and listening to the self appointed angling experts and started spending time on the water. Nice crawdad.
  12. Easy is less than 10 miles a day. If your not fishing you could probably do 2 miles an hour. Real real easy would be about 6 miles or less a day. At that rate you could spend half your time swimming and lounging and still make it back to camp in time to lounge some more.
  13. I couldn't agree more. Have you ever tied or fished Tups Indispensable? It a wonderful combination of history. simplicity, and effectiveness.
  14. The Gasconade river campground. It's easy enough to google the location and directions, thanks to Al the arrangements have been made, just show up.
  15. Never seen one so green.
  16. Better manufacturing processes, and the technology to validate the design changes are the key. It may be expensive but we are living in the golden age the machine.
  17. Good story and a lesson for everyone. When I go on a trip I have many goals, getting home in one piece and being able to do it again the following weekend is always number one.
  18. A strip pit strip set, Some fish:
  19. I have always been partial to humans names for dogs. My old retriever mix was named Bill, I also like Stanley or Henry.
  20. A good circle. We are fortunate to have been raised by the greatest generation.
  21. PM sent.
  22. I think the pits have silted in quite a bit. The river would need to be high to get in.
