  1. Nice fish Scott, I'm looking forward to trying the new HD baits. Looks like Black River was flowing pretty good.
  2. Back in the 1990’s a frequent topic of conversation on White River gravel bars centered around imagining how good the fishing could be if AFG would put in place a some slight protections on Brown Trout and of the ACOE would let just I little water trickle out of the dam rather than shut it down to 20cfs in the middle of June. I think netboy is providing the answer.
  3. The only time I want to watch tv is when something like this is on. I’d record it but I don’t know how to operate the cursed thing.
  4. Great report and cool pictures, I love swamps.....swamps with fish that is.
  5. In theory this is prime time for the spawn, in reality you never know.
  6. The The second fish looks like a Green/Bluegill cross. Excellent fish, I’m looking forward to getting out for some Gill fishing soon.
  7. Very nice Bluegill.
  8. Not too bad I guess.. they'll save a lot of aggravation on the river. I have them on my wish list for a new boat.
  9. Thanks, I'll ask for specs and info through the dealers.
  10. Does Topwater have a web site? All i'm finding is a facebook page which is worthless.
  11. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.
  12. Did you look into the saddles that mount outboard the gunwale so the oars don’t drag in the water or take up space inboard? I don’t know if NRS sells them but I see them on a lot of the river jons. You’re going to have a fine boat.
  13. Are those for your paddle jon?
  14. I don't know the answer but it is common to use a bare red hook (worm) with a two or three fly rig when trout fishing the big freestone rivers out west, it works.
  15. Count me as someone who enjoys all reports and all pictures, big fish and not so big fish. I’m going through a period where my time on the rivers is down; when I do get out my success has been limited. In the meantime, OAF gives me hope. Keep the pictures and reports coming.
  16. Did you hear something? No, It must have been a touch of indigestion.
  17. This forum became much more enjoyable since i learned how to use the ignore option. Thank you for giving me another chance to use it.
  18. RIP Dale, Thank you for making us long rodders feel a little less like outcast back in the day.
  19. Fish disappear on days or in seasons then reappear, we have all seen it. It’s like magic.
  20. Its like visiting an old love. The spark might be gone but sometimes it’s good to look back and reminisce about all the good times.
  21. It has to be a point blank shot in the eyes.
  22. If that weekend is open I’m in.
  23. The first Picture was taken by a former coworker who traveled to Thailand, Monks and Balloons. This picture was taken with my phone, Shirley Basin Wyoming, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen that wasn't a river.
  24. Great fishing report, if cold spells like this were normal I’d love to make ice fishing part of my winters. I had a similar experience getting checked by MDC a while back. When asked to identify our catches my partner said 8 Bluegill in the light green cooler and I said 10 Bluegill in the dark green cooler, the limit for the area was 10. The agent said thanks your good to go.
  25. yes they looked very good, especially the warm weather pictures.
