  1. Yeah, in northwest Arkansas the stench of curing resin is as common as the stench of cow dung and chicken crap in the rest of the Ozarks.
  2. Beautiful fish Seth, thanks for the video. Good luck Pete.
  3. A glass boat on Gasconade River.
  4. That was a great fish. I’ll be at the boat ramp in an hour, I’ll see if I can get a Longear picture.
  5. Yeah the block feature is great because I have no idea what you all are talking about. I do notice all the good will that has resulted.
  6. A mess of 6” Longears make a fine shore lunch.
  7. I can’t offer any advice other than show up early, empty your bladder and claim a spot. Don’t forget to stop by Abe’s hotel, fly shop and restaurant.
  8. A Reelfoot specimen,
  9. As a Gasconade, Meramec guy with a glass boat I agree, you could go on and on about the advantages and disadvantages of each type of boat but both are perfectly suited for any navigable Ozark River. I don't have my boat set up with oars because i'd up being the rowing guy.
  10. Nice fish Scott, I'm looking forward to trying the new HD baits. Looks like Black River was flowing pretty good.
  11. Back in the 1990’s a frequent topic of conversation on White River gravel bars centered around imagining how good the fishing could be if AFG would put in place a some slight protections on Brown Trout and of the ACOE would let just I little water trickle out of the dam rather than shut it down to 20cfs in the middle of June. I think netboy is providing the answer.
  12. The only time I want to watch tv is when something like this is on. I’d record it but I don’t know how to operate the cursed thing.
  13. Great report and cool pictures, I love swamps.....swamps with fish that is.
  14. In theory this is prime time for the spawn, in reality you never know.
  15. The The second fish looks like a Green/Bluegill cross. Excellent fish, I’m looking forward to getting out for some Gill fishing soon.
  16. Very nice Bluegill.
  17. Not too bad I guess.. they'll save a lot of aggravation on the river. I have them on my wish list for a new boat.
  18. Thanks, I'll ask for specs and info through the dealers.
  19. Does Topwater have a web site? All i'm finding is a facebook page which is worthless.
  20. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.
  21. Did you look into the saddles that mount outboard the gunwale so the oars don’t drag in the water or take up space inboard? I don’t know if NRS sells them but I see them on a lot of the river jons. You’re going to have a fine boat.
  22. Are those for your paddle jon?
  23. I don't know the answer but it is common to use a bare red hook (worm) with a two or three fly rig when trout fishing the big freestone rivers out west, it works.
  24. Count me as someone who enjoys all reports and all pictures, big fish and not so big fish. I’m going through a period where my time on the rivers is down; when I do get out my success has been limited. In the meantime, OAF gives me hope. Keep the pictures and reports coming.
  25. Did you hear something? No, It must have been a touch of indigestion.
