  1. A friend in Washington, MO can weld really well. Mark Sahm, Sahm Welding. Think he has at least 10 good welders on his payroll.
  2. Harbor freight sells kit trailers. Fishingwrench might have a few to to redo for your purpose.
  3. Think you are wrong Pat. You are neutrally buoyant in filled waders and your feet tend to float. You are welcome to come by my pool and try it. I have. They won’t take you under.
  4. Some good eats right there! Good for you!
  5. Multiple pairs of gloves if below freezing. Usually have a 3-4 dry pairs ready and on hand. The neoprene glacier gloves with the short fingers and mitten top work really well for winter floats. I don’t have to change them out much, even if wet.
  6. Gore Tex chest waders, and a quality gore tax rain jacket are what you want for winter paddling. Buy a bit big so you can layer up under.

Have already picked the Octoberfest winners! Woodford Bourbon & Tito’s Vodka win again!
  8. Stealth is required! Better luck next time. Usually huge schools of shiners in that creek.

    What's Cooking?

USDA Prime, if you can source it grab it!
  10. I like the LC Gunfish allot, but have had the same Mega Dog X tied on my finesse casting top water rod for the last couple of years. It gets changed out occasionally, then it gets tied back on before the next trip. Have caught hundreds on 6-7 favorite baits. Will swim to recover them.
  11. The Ziggy is a spin rod bait..tosses fine on an ML....I don't toss it on a bait caster. Spook Jr. is about the average size of my topwater casting lures. Like the big Storm Arashi walker allot. Super loud rattle...
  12. The Cultiva Zip n Ziggy is better than the Zara Puppy. About the same size, but a little fatter. Change out the stock hooks. Has anyone tried an S Waver or a Bull Shad on the White or Taney? That might be interesting.

    What's Cooking?

Testosterone, blue pills, or new deck😄? Let's go fishing soon.
  15. You do not want a down eye on a small short shank or curved hook. Bigger the gap the better. 16 or smaller are all straight eye hooks.
  16. Looks like a nice boat. Someone should grab this.

    What's Cooking?

Linguini with clams is a favorite! An ounce or two of white bechamel works really well in the sauce.
  18. JoeD is a guy you really need to meet to get his vibe. Would fish with him again without reservation. Owe you a trip JoeD. Let's go!

    What's Cooking?

You can never predict what a 9 yr old girl will eat. She ate most. Hated the capers! She will eat vile disgusting unseasoned steamed broccoli & peas. Likes Pickles... Is what it is.

    What's Cooking?

Haven't cooked much in the last month. To busy with work, travel & kiddo obligations. Had a little break today so did some Chicken Picatta with some Fettucine, Arugula, & Spinach. Pretty easy. Wife and oldest girl gobbled. The young one does not like capers.
  21. Happy Birthday, always great to get the kids out.
  22. Looks like fun! Thanks for the report.

    What's Cooking?

Pappy's, Sugarfire, Bogarts, are favorites but ther are twenty other established, and up & comers in the Lou. The standard is pretty high here. I like Smokie O's if in the mood for Snoots. Can't find those just anywhere.

Dressing-1C Sugar, 1t salt, 2/3C oil, 1t dry mustard,1t celery seed, 1C cider vinegar. Combine, heat to dissolve sugar, dress then chill.
