  1. Float and look for the forked sticks and limb lines.
  2. Fish will be moving out of most creeks right now if they haven't done it already. Main stem not the creeks now.
  3. Tweeker Shoal? SW was into lots of whites down in Arnold last weekend. Water is low. Didn't fish it. Had to walk in the Arnold Days Parade last weekend. Would be up for a quick float this weekend if you want. You have my digits
  4. How big is a 10lb bass? A buddy used to get access to his rich uncle's lake near XXXX, MO. 18'-22" LMB bass were pretty common and my best was just shy of 24". Healthy fish but not fat. Wonder what it weighed? Good times either way! .
  5. Most of my spinners are two piece. Can't remember the last time I broke one apart. Buy what fits in you vehicle easily.
  6. Add a rod length leader to your braid. Trout can be very line shy at times. A three turn surgeons knot works well.
  7. Had a buddy leave his wallet on the roof rack of his vehicle on the way from St. Louis to Montana...noticed it in Columbia.
  8. Lost one in Montana that way! Still have the flattened reel on my fly tying desk as a reminder. Sage sent a new rod.
  9. Agree with Mitch. Medium light will cast small stuff & 1/2oz suspending jerkbaits.
  10. Google Missouri Trout Hunter...There is plenty of good info on lure, fly, and bait fishing for trout on his page. Think the Big Thompson has some special regulation water. Read up on it before you go. Its not always the case, but rainbow trout like small flashy stuff and bright colors, plus they will feed anytime. Small brown trout behave like rainbows but they like more natural colors. Big brown trout...those over 15" or so like to eat other fish and tend to feed during lower light periods. Think minnow lures. Good luck!
  11. Good for you guys! The Jacks is a great place to be!

    What's Cooking?

Koreans do some seriously good pork bbq. Miss the mushu dominatrix on olive but Korean Kitchen has the space now. All won't be to your taste, but the serve 15 sides. Safe bet. Pork Bbq, try the sides.

Those dilly beans would go great in a Bloody Mary!
  14. Have noticed it. This ipad not the other. We are not the best at updates to the gizmos.
  15. i don't care if you eat a couple small bass one shot. Your welcome to keep on keeping on, hating on what you want to hate. Not my problem. Keep and eat the abundant small bass. Keep and eat the big ones andits a different story. Can't be directed w/o a regulation change.
  16. Freshwater Drum?
  17. Gret report! Love the pics!
  18. Definite hybrid. The hint of barring below the lateral line is a dead give away, lighter belly than a smallie should have. You know them when you see them. More olive than brown.

Unit we had was built out of double wides stacked together. Weekend date with the gal who is my wife. We were more interested in each other than the decor, but it was beat up. Might be different now. Would lake a hard look and budget for a remodel.

Stayed there once. Best thing that could happen would be a fire our a bulldozer.
  21. Think they caught them in the a river in SW Missouri. Up to you to find your own spots. Meatheads will clean out your good water if you are dumb enough to post it online. Go fish with some folks, you will probably, get some clues.
  22. Don't leave anything portable with value anywhere. It will be gone. Minor criminals prowl for easy pickings everywhere.
  23. Never wish for the good old days! Change is constant. Look forward not behind, our you will be eaten up our tossed to the curb in no time.
  24. Most folks are miguided by their own volition. Your belief in something does not make it true. I believe so it must be true. You can't win with that argument in terms of logic, but that is the best that most come up with. Sad really. Always question!
  25. Very nice catch Seth! 18" for sure. Maybe bigger. Good for you!
