  1. Float it, then pick your spot to park and wade. 6x to Peck's is the Zoo stretch, so avoid that on the weekend.
  2. Hammond to Sunburst is their most popular day float. It moves pretty well, 3-4 hours if you want to move, or all day if you choose to stay, fish, etc.. I usually do Kelly to Sunburst, then Sunburst to the Landing. The conditions do not look great. https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/07057500/?agency_cd=USGS#dataTypeId=continuous-00060-0&period=P7D&showMedian=true I like it in the 800-1300 cfs range. It's tough to wade at any level, but you can hammer if you know how to chuck some big nymph rigs when the water is up. If it drops below 750 it gets air clear and the fishing gets really tough. Good luck!
  3. Stipers are in there year round. The flat below Kelly Ford holds a bunch. Below McKee Bridge, Elephant Rocks below ROLF.. 6' deep with a slow current...probably stripers...But they don't bite often. Ask Brian Bade at Sunburst Ranch. He can tell you where they are.
  4. Congrats on a successful build! Go scratch it up!
  5. Last time I broke was at 45i and it lasted about 3 weeks. Sounds like you might have just popped one out of alignment. My chiro fixes that in 1 visit mostly, sometimes a follow up 2-3 days later. Good luck with it..
  6. The Big Piney runs faster & clearer and you will see fewer jet boats. If hitting the Gasconade....you wont see many jets above Hwy 28 during low water, but you may see a few at this level. Gasconade Hills, Boiling Springs are fine. Buddy used Froggy's said they were fine. Route 66 would be my first call for a lower B. Piney float. Haven't called him in a couple years....if not in biz Boiling Springs on the Gasconade is just 2 ish miles downstream.
  7. They are really good rods, and they have been durable. I wrap most of my rods on North Fork Composites blanks.. Love them..
  8. It would be hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube at this point. On the other hand, my buddies nephew Trey just qualified for the Bass Master Classic.
  9. Soft plastic lures are basically trash, but......Guilty of fishing that trash too. I do prefer hard baits.
  10. I've been done since Sunday for the most part... We should have a revival of Gavin's After Tax Season Party on the Current. Globall Dave moved to Arizona years ago, but the folks up the hill at Pinecrest are nice. They have a nice pavillion with a band stand and PA system. We wont have a 40' tall stack of barn debris to burn, but we could figure something out. Wonder what happened to the bonfire picture? That trip was a hoot!
  11. I might have some time to look tomorrow! The woods look about right, but weather has been variable.
  12. All your BIG spots are still small bass.. Fish Tacos!
  13. Dunno man, we have a postage meter. If you are going USPS....good luck, they suck. At least send it certified.
  14. They work great in fish tacos. Give it a try.
  15. MODOT's Travel Advisory Map tells the tale. S. MO go hammered. I hope all are well!
  16. I kill 100% of the spots that I catch on the rivers in the eastern Ozarks, and in Mid-MO. They hybridize with smallmouth bass and other bass species and really mess allot of stuff up. They are the Bradford Pear of Missouri bass fishing.
  17. There are at least 10,000 of them in every road ditch in west St Louis County. I'm down to 3 of them. After tax season, they are toast. Smell like hell when the burn too.
  18. We stayed as Circle B in Eminence this year. Nice place, but nothing special. The Jack's was too low to float at the time, so we just ran over to the Current to float & fish.
  19. Campbell to to Blue is a very scenic stretch. Not great fishing IMO, but worth floating.
  20. Augie Knickmeyer https://www.missouriflylifeguideco.com/ or Tommy Bench https://www.gasconaderiverguide.net/
  21. I've always wanted to attend the trout park opener in a gorilla suit, splash around, and generally make a nuisance of myself. Not this year, but one of you can go!
  22. March is a little early for good smallmouth fishing. We tow a 32'. There are plenty of spots to visit. If your are looking for full hookups with sewer....Thinking HVO down by Bennett or Pinecrest on the Current. Avoid Echo Bluff. It has full hookups but the fishing stinks and CG is ugly. You might try Sunburst Ranch on the NFoW or Taney. Think there was an RV CG on the west side of the dam, but I have not been there in 30 years. Quarry Park on the Norfork down in Arkansas is a good RV CG. Depends on how you tow. I bumper tow so I can put my boats on my ladder racks. If you have a 5th wheel that is not an option.
  23. It will be chaos, but rest assured! Everything is temporary until your dead.
