My dad is dead, My Uncle Toby is out family Patriarch, He is always calm and willing to listen, very confident and in control of himself. He has no want to control others, is always fair, retired but still a hard worker, always humble, never complains. Loves his family and friends. Kind to all. Be like Toby!

Glad you are having fun. Hike to Greer Spring when you do the 11pt, also hike up from the CG at Greer to the confluence. Stay at Sunburst for your NFOW trip. Brian & Stephanie Bade own it now. Both good with a fly rod, ask them about what is working. You may not need to leave their property.

Main forage seems to be shad. Choose accordingly. PM Smalliebigs, he’s down there allot I think. I’ll just drive over it on the way west 99% of the time. Tim Kirchhoff works the tackle biz @ Denny Dennis in Fenton. Would talk with him too.

Voted for Republican Presidential Candidates in every election other than 2016. Voted for the Libertarian in 2016, give it a try in 2020! I vote across the board mostly. My state rep is Deb Lavender(D) and she is great. Will never vote for my useless, corrupt, Congressman Lacy Clay, unfortunately Missouri’s 1st district is so gerrymandered that he can’t lose.

It ain’t bashing, Trump is a schoolyard bully not a leader. James Mattis IS a leader. Nancy Pelosi is has some form of mental disease. Mitch McConnell is a disgrace too. No incumbents in November. No Trump! No Biden! Anyone other for a week or so as a temp until we find a good one.

Think Trumps wife presents well but never had a shot at a First Lady role. Media said no, Trump appears to be a physical & mental train wreck at the moment. Think his wife will collect the life insurance before November. Biden for President is a joke too! Creeper 100%, way too old, just like Trump.

Take your pick from Springfield. James, Finley, Niangua, Gasconade, Big Piney, Meramec, Big, Current, Eleven Point, NFoW, and Buffalo, are a bit farther. Hunt around on missouricanoe.org for free maps and outfitters. Its warm enough for topwater now...try that first. Fish walking plugs, buzzbaits, and poppers around 75% of the time in summer. Sometimes have to drag plastic, fish a fluke, or a crank a plug, swim bait, or spinner bait for them.

Get a new one. A 25 yr old Hobbs Creek is not worth saving. It will make a good tomato stake.

Cut to the chase and get a canoe or kayak if you want to chase smallmouth & trout. A tent helps too.

Dont go often, but 10 minutes from the house. Maybe once a year Almost all spotted bass, sometimes a walleye, sometimes hybrid white bass.

Nice! MHX and Batson make some nice blanks. Like North Fork Composite Shooter blanks for old school 5’ 6” casting rod blanks. Need to buy 2-4 of those just in case.

I see tons of unmarked & unattended limb lines. If baited I'll leave it alone...If unbaited and swinging above water, I'll cut it and toss it in the trash. Pretty obvious when they have not been attended for days.

I do not trust the PoPo..but will give them a legit answer if not under their lazer beam. Buddy of mine is Clayton, MO PD...At the Galleria or Court House all the time...One or Two years to retirement..He cant wait to get out of it. If people could be kind to others.
