    Flags?

D day anniversary. God Bless those brave souls.

    Flags?

No, it is not. The Flag of the defeated should be stomped into the mud forever! General Lee, forget about it.

    Flags?

Will help any that I served with. Thanks to spacebook, in contact with many. None seem to need help. Ain’t nothing that an enlistment in the USMC won’t fix!

    Flags?

Well Rick I have an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor too. So guess I could fly two flags. Not gonna. USMC was fun but I don’t advertise. Been out for 25 years, have achieved greater things. Glad I have no need to train to kill people anymore.

    Flags?

There is only one flag I will fly. It’s got 50 stars and 13 bars. Screw U if you fly another on top. The confederacy lost, same as a nazi flag IMO.

    What's Cooking?

11yr olds Bday, making cake pops to deliver to her friends later.
  7. Needs to be fried fresh within hours of when you caught it. Frozen , 3 day old , or fresh market fish do not taste as good.
  8. Pike is not hard. 4 more cuts per fish to toss the Y bones. Eater pike is 18”-24”. Bigger than that, toss them back.
  9. Caught several 27-28” Walters in Canada. Tossed em back, to big for shore lunch. By catch mostly, would rather catch Smallmouth or Big Pike. Pike taste better, believe it or don’t.
  10. Current is my usual high water fall back. Looks fine now. Plenty of outfitters. Stay above Akers for trout. Go below Round Spring if you want to fish for bass. Akers to Round Spring is a VERY scenic part of the river, but the fishing is poor.
  11. Folks used to boil Bomber Long A's....Give em a test, and a paint job!
  12. Agree with Al..700cfs at Steelville used to be my cutoff to wade down at Cardiac/Suicide Hill 25 years ago. Doubt if I'd walk down the Hill unless its below 500 cfs now. Its moving pretty quick at 500 cfs and 250 is summer low and slow. I would not hesitate to float it at 1,000 cfs. You would be limited in terms of spots to wade fish, but you could stay in the boat, eddy out, and fish the seams.
  13. It works...peg the bead, and tie a small snell knot under the pegged bead so it wont slip down. It's an attractor, site fishing gun sight, & weight all in one. Still have a couple hundred beads left over from Alaska...Guides up there like to paint clear beads with flesh tone nail polish for a mottled look.

    What's Cooking?

Could use some Crabs To Go!
  15. Usually fish a size 6 pats, leach, or bugger on those creeks. Catches fine clear or stained. Madame X in 6-8 is deadly too. Peach colored egg.is the deadliest of all.
  16. If you are going to the Current with Sam Potter, you will do fine.
  17. That does not sound good. My wife never complains about boats. She does not like jet boats. but can fill my shed with paddle craft and she does not care. She paddles your old Coosa, or the 15’ Mad River solo. 10 yr old paddles an 8’ SOT, and 13yr old paddles her new Perception Pescador 120.. Lost my 17’ Wenonah Spirit II to a tree fall earlier this year. Looking for a 17’ in Royalex if you want to sell one. Cash deal.
  18. Think your 500 low. Paddle is a buck 40 new.
  19. Different game when the Meramec is in flood and it is up and milky. Very easy to fish then. Air clear and low is when it gets tough.
  20. The AutoZone float on a creek I won’t name is a good one. Looks like you are out west, lots of tall granite. There are several others that I will never name online.
  21. Current/Jacks/Eleven Pt/Gasconade/Buffalo take your pick.
  22. Gasconade Hills is just south of I-44 at Hazelgreen. Popular Spot.
  23. That’s a stellar build! Thanks for showing it too us!
  24. At 5% market share they made the right move. Could license the E-Tec to Mercury. If mercury wants make them. Would rather have a Yamaha than a Mercury. Yamaha 4 strokes are very quiet and reliable. Yamaha’s are the only outboard motors you see in Canada & Alaska. Gosh I hate Bass Pro! They turn everything they touch into homogenized crap!
  25. The guys at Hargrove's will hook you up. Shop is open now, Craig is back to work, some remodeling has been done. Tom, Craig, Eric, and Max know their stuff. Super nice. Have not been in to shoot the bull and suck down a drink or three in awhile, but miss my fellow Fishheads. Craig said you will need a mask, if you want to enter...Call them and ask about protocol first. Addy is 9024 Manchester Rd 63144. Phone is 314-968-4223. Great guys! Worked next door @ 9012 Manchester for over a decade.
