You can put in at Sunburst Ranch, and float to their Landing, or put in at Kelly and float to Sunburst. Both are day floats. Camp at Sunburst Ranch. The surrounding lands are privately owned for the most part. Good Luck!

Sorry Phil, but you were just drifting through a wad of fish and snagging some in the mouth. That is what chuck n duck rigs are designed to do. Same with an egg sack and a pencil lead on gear. Not quite as bad as center pin fishing because your not drifting 100 yards.

Thinking some cheap Bar-S hot dogs from Wal-Mart will do just as well for less trouble. Channel cats are not picky...No bite in 5 minutes, they are not there. No need to linger unless your too lazy to move your beer cooler & 5 gallon bucket.

14.75" 5lb bass was a JOKE!...That might be a 2lb bass! Just got back from our friends farm in KS. They have a couple hundred acres in Ag, and part of the property has a mile of shoreline access to a 400 acre public lake near Topeka. Never have seen that many meat heads on that lake. Allot of short bass and walleye died this week. Maybe 1-2 boats on their cove per day on past trips, 5-10 a day this trip. Fishing appears to have suffered. Was hard to scratch out some legal Walleye. Used to be easy to fill a limit of 18-20" walleye. LMB bass fishing in decline too.

You cant trust those statistics...US is rather transparent, and probably similar to what is going on in Europe, but those country's are tiny. US has a population of 340M, and 1.5M is cases...90K dead. 3rd largest country in the world, China lies, and India has no way to report what is going on. Think y’all need to get together for a WFT style fireside chat. Grievances get settled with a lawn chair take out, or wrestling match but all usually ends slightly bloody but well. Quit fishing tubes years ago. Hi Viz braid and a leader helps.Good polaroids and watch your line. You will kill some fish with small plastics when you lose contact with the bait. A Ned with a weed guard doesn’t gut hook as many as a tube.

Those buffalo gnats are no fun, worse than black flies. I would take either over a surprise attack by yellow jackets though. YJ’s are just vicious creatures. Have some herbs out but that’s it.

Justin & Amy sold but still involved a bit. Sunburnt & ROLF have great wade water, not easy but have seen 30”+ browns caught on that river. Crawfish, shad, and big stoneflies.

These reel seats need to go. Will work great with a short 3-4 weight. Golden Witch Nickle Silver Sliding Bands, down lockers. One insert is Zebra Wood other is Birds Eye Maple, one set of hardware is blued & clear coated. Parts are interchangeable. $80 for both reel seats TYD. I don’t intend to make anymore 3-4wt fly rods. Reels not for sale. New retail on these is $60-80 each. Stellar bling for special fly rod projects.

Finally going fishing so started ratting through my hardware tackle. Ended up wrapping a half finished rod project, replacing two tip tops, and re spooling 8 reels. Anyone else building rods?

My Hotel by the airport STL....did 35K last month. Usual, would be 200-220k. Offta! The sales tax hit to local governents has gotta be huge.

My buddy Scuba is a Flight Attendant, he was flying all over until a month ago. Wore his PPE, and got nothing, 60, smokes, drinks. Been home for a month and laid off still no issues.

Have never tried, but eaten plenty of redfish, and sea trout...(same family of fish). They eat well fresh..Dog food if frozen and thawed....Crappie & walleye can last a bit in the freezer, but not those fish.
