  1. No, might be your daddy.
  2. I only mentioned having 5 pair because, sometimes I take my vest it has clippers, sometimes I take my tackle bag, it has clippers, sometimes I take just a tray, some have clippers, etc. I haven't had any scissors or sheers that have quit working. But then again, I don't fish as often as many.
  3. All great ideas. I switched bout 2-3 years ago. Best and worst decision I've made. I decided I don't want to use a leader. I stand by that. I don't fish nearly as often as much as some, so I cant tell you if that has made me lose more fish or not. Just chiming in to warn you of some things. *You can no longer "cut" your line with your teeth. *You will need about 5 pairs of braid scissors. You will find ALL of your nail clippers that you couldn't find, when you used your teeth to cut line. They work, but very inefficiently. *After catching a good fighter, or tough snag, your line may be sinched into the rest of the line. You will understand why the pros peel line after each cast. This often is the reason for backlashes on my spinning reels (whole nother rant of love/hate). *I have really decided the supplied hooks are good enough for most baits. I want them to bend or break. I get more snags in and out of the water, and the braid does not break off nearly as easily as mono. I have bent many more hooks than ever before. But I also save many more lures. Talking same test. I don't lake fish much. Creeks and rivers are my desire. *Braid absorbs water. This doesn't much matter in the summer and fall, but cool spring and cold winter days, my hands go numb quicker because the braid flings some water on my hands each cast or retrieve. *I needed to learn new knots. Probably should have known then before, but braid expedited the need. I know that sounds like a lot of reasons to not use braid, but at the same time, I am satisfied with it. *I can cast longer distances than with my P-Line CXX. *The casts feel much smoother as the braid is cast through the rod. *I t gives me more reasons to go out, because I have to "make sure" the newly spooled reel is ready for the next trip. *No memory on spinning reels. This was mentioned before, but I really like that factor. *I feel like I can pull harder against the snags to keep my lures. All in all, I love it as much as I hate it.
  4. $350, I believe is fair.
  5. Funny topic, as I recently took pictures of this feral cat, and our "rescued" cat. Ours is the black and white one I swear she is many species in one. She hops like a rabbit, she has a mouse face, owl eyes.. cant think of others we've noticed. This other one from my mom's house is gray one. I think it has the face of a wolf or fox.
  6. Little out of my way. You should have no problem selling.
  7. I agree with the last paragraph totally. But the $190k, that was a 1 time deal. Maybe that went to pay back for the costs of marketing the hunt. For the administrative costs of operating the lottery. While yes, it could pay for 3 agents, they would only be employed for 1 year. I chose not to participate. But I cant be upset about the money used. ( not saying you, or anyone else is). I believe we have it great in Missouri. We have many opportunities and the bear lottery is just another one. Really, when I think about it, I'm pretty happy it was $10.00. It sure gave most every one a fair shot at being able to hunt a bear! That is pretty cool. I've paid more for raffle tickets for less of an opportunity.
  8. We had what we called milk duds. They grew on fences, and had a pod full of silky threads. Other than that we threw bricks. I'm a city boy. Never heard of Gooseberries until a few years ago when BilletHead was posting on making gooseberry jam. We ate the wild blackberries that the birds didnt get to first.
  9. I would still advise you to READ your policy. I did not sell the policy, so I will not speak for the clauses. But once you are dead and your benefits are denied to your beneficiaries, you cannot defend yourself. Upon reading the AARP article posted, it is not specific to any policy, only to the vaccine. Again, READ YOUR POLICY.
  10. I'm surprised more info hasn't came out about the life insurance policies. Oneshot is right about them. Read your policy. Same goes for terrorism. The companies have a way of keeping their money.
  11. Hang in there Bo. We need someone to keep showing us them night bite bass. Daryk
  12. Truly, I hope that is the worst you experience. Sorry to hear that you have contracted it. Confused though, how did you get tested? You know, doctors and all. 😉. I do hope you recover soon. You need that sniffer, can be an occupational hazard.
  13. I read that, and was left wanting to see the progressive pictures. Oh well.
  14. Sorry to hear that Oneshot.
  15. I would never be ashamed to do business with the BilletHead. Just making it public.
  16. I am very impressed with the boat. I'm 240 ish lbs, 5'9", no worries about swamping. I use a double blade kayak paddle. Put a 36lb trolling motor on it with a homemade lithium battery pack. I have an elevated seat, and am still very impressed. 1/4 plywood would make it more rigid, but I wanted something I could carry potentially long distances.
  17. No slime yet. Got a couple opportunities in the coming weeks... will report.
  18. I'm in the St Louis area, dont mind driving myself. But I would caution that 1 battery is about all I want in a 10' boat. I'm about 240ish lbs, and any waves make me skittish. But I'll entertain an offer. 1988 Lowe Little Jon 10' no plug (no hole), bone dry after hours of use. The seat was not stable so it is no longer in the boat.
  19. Yes, sort of in the living room. It is my finished basement living room. It didn't take much time really. I dont care to watch much tv, scouts was off for a while due to covid, no gymnastics, no cross country, tae kwon do, didnt have too much time, but actually had SOME time. I do wear the life jacket, my kids do also. Even wore the life jacket in the pond I tested the motor out on, and it's only about 4 feet right now in the deepest section. I generally wade in deeper pools.
  20. Where are you located? I have a 10' Lowe with title.
  21. So, I made a small MouseBoat. Free plans offered by Duckworks.com. it was a little small for me, 240ish lbs. I made it out of 1 sheet of 5mm plywood. I then decided to build the Mouse Flyer, sailboat without using it for sailing. I decided I wanted it to be lighter than the first. So I used 1" foamboard. It worked. I then decided I wanted to power it. I built a transom support and it is now powered. I used the PMF (Poor Man's Fiberglass) method. Tight Bond 2 glue, lay canvas and let cure. Add more glue, let cure. Paint with exterior paint. The mesh is concrete board tape, similar to drywall tape. I used that just in case. Not sure if it will make any difference.
  22. Thank you for the compliments on the boat. It is still a work in progress. I am actually working on a foam boat now. I will start a new thread soon.
  23. I've worn sketchers for the last 20ish years. Just seen a throwback picture to prove it. I'm a creature of habit. I found what I liked, they have not quit making them.
