  1. So, I bit. Always interesting how insignificant things, become very significant in time. I was worried about it being the urban dictionary version. But I thought, Jeff wouldn't do that.
  2. I have to be missing something. Is there a way to get the "pre-load" initiated? I keep getting the crankshaft set to where it turns clockwise, the prop shaft turns clockwise, insert it into the leg, get the splines inserted, but I keep getting forward and neutral with "resistance", reverse has free spin. Am I missing something ? Or it is damaged? I do have an outboard shop local, but I like to work on things. Seems like I should be able to install this. How big of pandora's box am I opening if I take the "collar" off of the gear shaft to try to understand the operation?
  3. Somehow I ca believe there are people who identify as animals more than this screenshot.
  4. Watching to see what's next.
  5. I see it now. I didn't recognize that it was the transom, and trailer. I didn't see it. Made out the transducer (s) and the cable, honestly I thought it was a brake cable fron a bicycle.
  6. I have no idea what is going on.
  7. Well, I believe I did it right, but is it wrong if reverse has free spin? I didn't see the reverse lock cam. Not sure if it was there to begin with. What would I be looking for on that? I wont be able to test until Sunday.
  8. It is. I'm listening, lol
  9. Yes, I can follow that, and thank you. Now, follow up question. When I'm looking at the prop, turning it clock wise, am I in front of the unit, or behind it? And, yes, the gear shift lever is starboard.
  10. I cant seem to get a good consensus. I replaced my impeller, and when I replaced the lower unit, I have forward slow, and forward fast, no reverse. I seen some videos, one mentioned a certain orientation of the gear shaft, but the prop doesnt seem to feel right when I spin it freely. Any takers? Wrench?
  11. I plan to arrive Friday evening, leave Sunday.
  12. I am still in. If there happens to be a "shutdown" I will not violate it. I do understand the risk, but I am also willing to accept the consequences. I will be quarantine for 2 weeks following. I work at home.
  13. Makes you feel funny, but it smells good. Lol (honestly I have no idea)
  14. I always imagined those people fished in the Mississippah River.
  15. I get fishing/small game and trout every year. Haven't hunted in 4 or 7 years, usually dont trout fish, until the last couple years. I've spent way more on way less. Mostly unused tackle.
  16. This was below the last post.
  17. I seen that ad last night.
  18. Picked up some jigs for jigfest, and a signature series jerkbait. Oh and I found some micro jigs. Kinda excited about that. Also picked up my plaque. Thanks @Phil Lilley AND @duckydoty Duane. It is fantastic. So, left to right, micro jigs I believe 1/256 oz, micro magnet, trout magnet, 1/8 oz Lilley's Jig, Ned Rig with Dave's Ned Head half ZinkerZ.
  19. I will bring toasted ravioli. It's a St Louis tradition.
  20. So, apparently it is @Ketchup's birthday. Lol. So a friend of mine from many years ago posted this today. I don't know if it our Ketchup or not, but what the hey. Happy birthday man.
  21. Wife wants to take the kids to SDC Saturday, seems they are sold out. Anyone have other options?
  22. So, let's for arguments sake, we accept that covid is less deadly than the flu, car accidents, office mishaps and playground accidents etc yada yada. That being the case, wearing masks, reduces the chance of flu also. Win. Working from home reduces traffic, which reduces the chances of automobile accidents. Win. Working from home reduces deaths from office mishaps. Win. Now. The world, whole world is dealing with the virus, not just America, and our election. We need to act as a world and try to eliminate this virus. How bad is it to wear a mask? Medical professionals have been wearing them for years. Years. They have been protected from many things due to wearing masks and washing hands. So the worst thing that can happen is we are a little bit healthier if we come together in mass numbers to try to eradicate this. But, for it to work, the whole world (which IS affected) has to work together at the same time. Maybe we can also get rid of the flu. Win.
  23. On everything. The news gets one thing, and you would believe it is going to change the world in a negative way. Any one thing. "Orange crops are twice the expected yield, nowhere to send the abundance of oranges. Seeds will overtake the sewage system, and the rinds take 8 months to decompose. Protect yourself, find out how at 10"
  24. 3 men are at a brothel. Name their nationalities. The one entering is Russian, the one leaving is Finnish...... The one inside? Himalayan.
  25. I used to catch these in my local fishing ponds as a kid. I will live happily ever after if I never catch another. They have no fight, dont grow large, they stink, and 90-95 percent of the time they swallow the hook. We called them "yellow belly" cats.
