  1. X3-for me. As I'm reading through, I can't help but wonder who taught some hunters (or failed to teach) about ethics, and quick clean kills. For the non hunters, that is and should be taught and practiced at all times.
  2. I have never used any kind of fuel stabilizer (not saying good or bad, just haven't), and my small engines have always started. I don't have a boat motor, but my lawn mower gas can sits for quite a while, and the fuel in the mower has never gave me any kind of problem. My last mower was 7 years old and never has been "winterized", always started up for me in the spring, my weed trimmer is still going after 7 years, and that fuel is stored longer. The trimmer fuel is mixed and I have been told that the oil mix acts as a stabilizer. I don't know though.
  3. Thank you Billet Head, I did not know that it mattered. That is good to know. :-)
  4. Interesting. Now out of genuine curiousity, ( not a sarcastic question ) where was the checkpoint, and how would they know you did not process legally? Just seems like it would be alot of detective work to get someone after the game was processed. I clarified the question because sometimes when things are in text form, there is no emotion that can be processed from the question/statement.
  5. Just a thought...... but wouldn't the canned trout, or any fish for that matter count toward your possesion limit? Kinda takes away the benefit if your preparing on storing up for the future.
  6. Griz, That is an awesome idea. Thanks for sharing.
  7. I was thinking the large dark object/feed trough/Water bucket etc. was a fire pit. I agree that the cat seems to be layered into the picture. Fun topic none the less.
  8. ....so... since golf and fishing are out, tic tac toe, anyone?
  9. Little far for me. Hope its a good time, enjoy your time off.
  10. NO NEW TAXES. Lets run the country like we do our households. Can't afford it, don't buy it. There are many charities that will help pay for medical problems or bills, government should not be held to pay for people's misfortunes whether they put it on themselves or not. Smoking isshown to cause problems, but, I believe there are many other things that cause the same problems that cigarettes are blamed on. Take car exaust for one. If you were to close yourself in a confined space with limited fresh air while a car is running in that same space, you will most likely get some kind of respiratory disease (example Lung Cancer). We do this to ourselves daily while driving behind someone else's car with our windows rolled up using a/c or the heater. Yet, we scream unfair when we have to take our car to the emmission stations and it fails. Just a start on many things we do that can cause the problems blamed on smoking.
  11. good job. good luck for the rest of the season.
  12. Welcome Paul. I'm sure you will find this site productive.
  13. I don't think anyone thinks it is wierd. You have a desire to fish, and you are seeing if anyone else can help or needs help (covering supplies). Kind of a slow time to start on the boat track I would guess though as it is getting cooler out. Keep up with the group and some tips will make thier way to you. No one can help you if you don't ask. Welcome, by the way.
  14. First I've heard of the bar code. Sounds kinda neat. If you look for videos about GeoCaching, you gan get some ideas about how to look for micros. They can be tough, but right in front of you at the same time.
  15. I thought by the way brochure reads, some are cnr until feb, while others you can keep. Did I read it wrong?
  16. As of yet, 11:30 am, it has not been reported.
  17. Seen that on your report, that is really cool that you were able to see and take pics of it. Could not tell the size by your pic, 20 inches is wild. I would probably be a little intimidated by it had I not read about it for the last 6 years or so in the fishing regs booklets.
  18. Heard that on the radio this morning. Good stuff. The reporter was saying that they could reach 24 inches. Thats one large salamander.
  19. Gramps, your right, they would last a little longer than o'rings, but that kit seems a bit expensive. There are videos on youtube that show how to use an empty marker or highlighter tube to apply the o'rings just the same as the applicator in this kit. You can get an o'ring kit for little or nothing at any local hardware store in the plumbing aisle. After a few releases your bait is going to be used up anyhow.... sure the saddle will still be usable but is it worth the price? Your call. Good thread by the way.
  20. Glad you came out of it alright. Sorry to hear of it just the same.
  21. Looks/sounds like a good time.
  22. Thanks Blazer, Have you been to this lake before? Looks like a neat place to go after a trip to Bass Pro/ Cabellas to try new equipment....
