  1. Seems kinda strange to remove a 6 acre pond for a school. Sorry to hear that you are losing such a great fishing spot. I don't know how many you can support in a pond that is approx 1/3 size. But overall good for you. Maybe you can meet up with others who have ponds that can "share the bounty".
  2. I would lay half now, and half in the late fall. Just me.
  3. I was camping with my family when hurricane ike came through, at roaring river state park. The flooding was amazing, and dangerous. We were moved up to a higher campground by the camp staff. The next morning, the river was well above 8 feet higher than it was the day before. Be extremely careful if you are camping in the storms produced.
  4. No St Louis service? That stinks. ( I prefer to drive anyhow )
  5. Mitch, Your putting this all into perspective, and I for one don' have the time to read it. :-)
  6. Good news to hear. I am planning a trip to Montauk sometime next month. Any other ideas, sugesstions would be appreciated as it will be my first time there. I plan on stopping at Reeds to get some info also. Now on to the Geo cacheing, I have read about them in the paper, and have a slight interest. What is the ettiquete on them? Do you put something in place of the items you removed? Do you add to the items? Do you shift the items? I guess How does it work is my main question?
  7. Thank you so much for your posts and updates. It is really cool to read and see pics.
  8. Sorry to intercept, but will you all do us the favor of showing the rest of us all of the flies that were tied? Once all of your participants have recieved them of course. I do not tie, and do not fly fish very often (yet). That would be the reason I did not join, but I am interested in the outcome as well.
  9. HA, HA, HA!! Yea, I guess I was Corn'-Fused. I thought Greasy was referencing a member
  10. Per missouri state parks websites, it is still in effect also. You can use stoves, but not open fire.
  11. Your doing it, keep it up. :-)
  12. Thanks for posting. This kind of post is a great addition to the site.
  13. You could thread the cable through one of the rims on your car. Put some alert bells inside also.
  14. CWF, I would still be cautious to canoe in the Mississipi. The tugs and the barges put up a good wake, even now. I have seen a few jon boats that would have a hard time to take the wakes. If you were really on the look out, you should be ok, but I don't know how much fishing you could get done.
  15. Glad to see that they are being pro-active. The last two sentences on page 2 are great.
  16. Very nice. I am a budding fly fisherman myself. I am glad you shared your trick with the cap. One of those that seem obvious once pointed out, but not sure I would have thought of it if I was there a the time.
  17. Forgive me, as I do not know. What is the taboo about nightcrawlers and trout? I have only used artificial the few times I have trout fished.
  18. Very well put. (as always)
  19. WOW! Very nice.
  20. Very interesting... How did they know who you are, as you go by a ficticious name? Who "Banned" you from the lake? I would follow up on it if I was you, as it may just be someone pranking you. To many variables. First time I have heard of something like this.
  21. Love your "shelf Support" idea on picture 3. Sounds like all is doing well.
  22. I believe PBR, but I am not sure by any means,it may not have been beer, but I really think it was. I have searched youtube, but cannnot find anything.
