  1. I can do that. Cooked rice?
  2. I think it's good that some still experiment with different things to try to create things that either improve, or just didnt exist. Cool article also. Possibilities are always endless.
  3. I have thought about this many times in my life. And just as many times, my results have changed. In my current state of being, I would believe traveling would be my desire. I want to see alot, and experience alot. I dont think ownership of much of anything would matter. I could rent whatever I wished for anywhere, and not have to worry about who was or wasn't maintaining what I owned. My kids would be required to maintain a balanced life, and I like to believe I would volunteer my time, often. Not just to benefit those I volunteered for, but to have a sense of duty. I think that is what makes humans different than most other animals. Next year my desires will most likely be different.
  4. Do as I say, not as I do.
  5. Come as you are. That has been my motto for many years.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving John, and all OAF members. I truly hope you all are able to enjoy life daily. You all make my life more enjoyable. Thank you.
  7. That was enjoyable. Thanks.
  8. That's the same song and dance I use. Doesnt work well for me. Maybe cause I'm in the wrong creek. I'll stick to the old trusty fish call. He'er fishy fish-yyyy
  9. DJ, you can have then shipped from Lilleys. I did, and got them pretty quickly.
  10. When I went out yesterday I caught 3 bass, no micros. I was trying, and seen many. Just saying, micro fishing and tenkara were harder than traditional bass fishing.
  11. Not much to say, fast retrieve with long pauses. I know it is becoming taboo, but this is my experience today. With pics.
  12. Maybe you can get an Angry Pirate Jersey, then every one will know you are a pro.
  13. Seen this pop up, figured it is relative.
  14. On your video at the 2:31 mark is the one I believe is a bleeding shiner. The lip/gill/fins are what stood out.
  15. We have a yearly event at Riley's, here on the forum. I do suggest them. Miles is a great guy, and the cabins are spacious and clean. May I also suggest Lilley's Landing? The owner is the owner of the forum here. It is in Branson, they have guided trips, we stayed there, and I've rented boats, and took a guided trip. They are second to none for service, and their prices are very reasonable. And you have access to both, trout and bass. Taneycomo and Tablerock lakes are right around the corner from each other.
  16. I guess I am just as guilty. You see, I was a Zebco 33 fan for many years. Now, I use spinning reels, and bait casters. I used to use night crawlers and corn exclusively, now I use plastics semi effectively. Darn internets. Them whopper plopper things and A-rigs will never take off though...
  17. I thought that also about the bleeding shiner.
  18. Good video, showed up on my phone. Th shiners count as catches also.
  19. You are not wrong, but I'm from St Louis, and drove in at dark. I know pretty well how to now, but that day was uneasy.
  20. That happened to me at Eagle Rock a few years ago. My phone got wet, and had to find my way back to the campground at Roaring River to pick up my stuff, and find my way back to I-44. Luckily I have a sense of direction, and knew I had to go North to get to 44. But was uneasy just the same. BTW, gas station attendants are not the same as they were 30 years ago.
  21. Just another day on the Southside. Yes Kingshighway is one of the border streets of The Hill neighborhood. That is where all the good Italian food is.
  22. 🤔
  23. Hey now, I have learned a thing or two from Wrench. I pay attention.
