I always enjoyed this forum. So much, I've never looked elsewhere. I've gotten specific info on others, but I frequent OAF. As far as politics and religion, I think we are very well under control. We know the rules, some play out of bounds on occasion, but I dont feel any offense on either side. I know so we have a lot less participation than we did 5 years ago, but many forums have completely dried up. I believe that just goes with the options of other media. I enjoy your thoughts, and hope you continue to share them.
I bought an aluminum canoe through Al. The canoe was more than fair priced, and good shape. I believe he is more of a critic than most. That being said, I would trust his assessment, and offer a price. I'm just not wanting a tandem canoe. Gave the other to the stream team. It works great.
I'm torn about it. It is easier than siting down and watching tv, but it is getting stale. I dont interact with many people anymore, and it does keep me from being a hermit.
Valid point. Obvious difference is, we can choose to play in the woods, or not. Those who are infected with tick born diseases are not able to transmit the disease.
But, I do understand the logic.
That's where you been? I wonder what happened to you, then I see you post, then disappear.
Curiosity killed the cat, and I respect all of you here. I have always enjoyed the no politics and religion rule here.
I relate. Lucky for me, there was one or two opportunities, and a couple big brothers who took me a couple times. My parents never went, or cared. I had a long track to the parks with ponds, but I always enjoyed it. I grew up in South St Louis, and it wasn't a thing of interest for most.
You have nothing to explain. Hopefully your city boy, friend had a good time otherwise. He should have learned a few things to try in the stocked ponds.
Inread it on Facebook a couple days ago, and thought about, it just doesn't seem logical to me. But I'm not "educated" . The carbon monoxide (I know its dioxide) is another favorite with the anti maskers. But my thoughts are always, how do doctors and other health care providers live?
So, I bit. Always interesting how insignificant things, become very significant in time. I was worried about it being the urban dictionary version. But I thought, Jeff wouldn't do that.
I have to be missing something. Is there a way to get the "pre-load" initiated? I keep getting the crankshaft set to where it turns clockwise, the prop shaft turns clockwise, insert it into the leg, get the splines inserted, but I keep getting forward and neutral with "resistance", reverse has free spin. Am I missing something ? Or it is damaged? I do have an outboard shop local, but I like to work on things. Seems like I should be able to install this. How big of pandora's box am I opening if I take the "collar" off of the gear shaft to try to understand the operation?
I see it now. I didn't recognize that it was the transom, and trailer. I didn't see it. Made out the transducer (s) and the cable, honestly I thought it was a brake cable fron a bicycle.
Well, I believe I did it right, but is it wrong if reverse has free spin? I didn't see the reverse lock cam. Not sure if it was there to begin with. What would I be looking for on that? I wont be able to test until Sunday.
Yes, I can follow that, and thank you. Now, follow up question. When I'm looking at the prop, turning it clock wise, am I in front of the unit, or behind it? And, yes, the gear shift lever is starboard.
