  1. Lol, no low ballers, I know what I have.
  2. I need a place, count me in at Mile's place.
  3. So, I remembered to bring the ruler today. I didn't have nearly the same luck as Friday night. I did catch a few, but not nearly as quickly . Now, for the 2 that got away. I have a certain kind of spot to look for and cast to. Thanks to @Smalliebigs. I knew of the spot, I found a fish near there Friday. I was trying to get the perfect cast, as @Al Agnew has mentioned, you have to get within a basketball hoop area. I got the cast, the water was slowly swirling against the current. I knew if there was a fish in this spot, this cast was gonna bring it out. It did. Funny how you think of the people who have given you clues and you get the opportunity to make it whole. Thank you all. I seen the fish come at my topwater, Torpedo, surprised? I got the hookset. While bringing it in, it spit the hook. Man! I knew this would be a contender. Might not win, but it would give someone a little competition. I tried for longer than I should have for another chance. Never happened. The casting was great, the fish was shy. I moved onto another spot. This spot is highly pressured. I had a few followers, once a group of smaller bass. I decided to switch up to a jerk bait. I chose white. Two casts, not where I wanted them. It was on! Man, I knew it was on. I seen the fish. It was huge. I was excited, I was scared to lose it. This was the biggest bass I have seen in person. No exaggeration. I was so excited. I was bringing it up to the bank, it still had a lot of fight left. I could not believe it, I was going to land this. Then, I watched it, as it got off of the hook. I watched it slowly yet quickly leave. I was shocked, excited, and disappointed all together. I'm satisfied, as I got to see it, dark lines, fat and tall. Great fish. Great day. I know, it's just a fishing story, but this one is mine. ....and completely true.
  4. Ok, so huge rookie mistake. I just want to post my catches, but I FORGOT my ruler!! And wouldn't you know it, I had one of the best outings ever. No, seriously. Oh well. Heres my invalid catches. Size 13 boot. Less than 1 hour. I am not upset, I could have went for the ruler, cost me about 20 minutes, but I'm glad I stayed. Top water, slack water, let it sit, small twitches, and slack. Good fights, they wanted to shake the hooks. Probably time to change them. They are the original, same lure you guys have seen for years. 5 different fish, 2 locations same creek.
  5. If you got room cody, I'll ride. I'm crankfest baptized.
  6. Count me in. Get busy living or get busy dieing. I need somewhere to put my cot. I am not picky. I also need a seat.
  7. I have had issues in the past similar to what Ness addressed. When I would go to certain restaurants and their wifi would be the source of internet, I had problems. Turned off wifi, using cell data, no problems. This pertains to my android phone. Maybe something to do with router security.
  8. Cool story bro. Lol
  9. The water was clear, the temps were great. I found a new section of creek to wade fish. The fishing was great, the catching not so much. I did have one take on a orange craw crank bait. Was not able to set the hook. I seen it, but I believe I was too quick to try to set the hook. I did not see any fish freely swimming, but I can only imagine the creek has to have many residents. I will be back.
  10. I believe Brian Jones was chasing them for a while. He reported the use of straps and having a great time with them.
  11. Yes, to all previously mentioned. But I don't know what "it" is. I just know that I have never tired of anything to do with water.
  12. Secret indeed. It's safe with me. My secret place too..
  13. My unprofessional opinion is to splice it. If you don't need to remove it, plugs just cause issues. Someone else on here had a small fire on board due to a issue with a plug.
  14. Common term is Beggar Lice. A credit card or comb is helpful in removing them.
  15. Dates? I am in. Will follow up when donation has been made.
  16. I seen a few browns and smallies come from the Cardiac Hill access. I've seen goggle eye down from there, I imagine they are mixed in also. It is wadeable, I wouldn't recommend going alone, it was very swift when I went. The hill is easy going down, but kicks your butt going back up. Especially if you're like me, and out of shape. I would imagine the info you read was referring to the past vs now.
  17. Sounds like a fun time. Nice bonus pictures also.
  18. Sherman McMasters: [referring to the shootings of Morgan and Virgil Earp] If they were my brothers, I'd want revenge, too.Doc: Oh, make no mistake; it's not revenge he's looking for. It's a reckoning.[Doc begins coughing violently.]Jack Johnson: Doc, you ought to be in bed, what the hell you doin' this for anyway?Doc: Because, Wyatt Earp is my friend.Jack Johnson: Hell, I've got lots of friends.Doc: I don't. Due to the pandemic.
  19. No, Fisher cave is closed due to covid. They usually give guided tours. This was found in Indian Cave.
  20. I have never had a good eye for such. They all look the same to me. I understand the value, and importance, I just cant differentiate between worked rocks and rocks.
  21. I'm in Festus, grew up in south city. Unfortunately, you already know of the areas you are limited to without some sort of membership. Mississippi river is the only option you didnt list that I'm familiar with.
  22. This is a cave salamander. Not sure how it would do in an aquarium. Usually cool and dark, the light is only due to flash. Otherwise no light at all.
  23. Went camping with the family. I could not catch a big fish, so I decided to try for the micros. It was tougher than my last few times. Decent current was moving at the park. I was able to find a few. Throwing in a bonus cave salamander.
  24. Yep, it's really you. Welcome back.
