  1. Probably discovered that the kill switch lanyard was laying under the seat. 😅
  2. Must be something YOU did, cuz the ads are still here on my device.
  3. There's a bluegill fly (Killer Peacock) with bead chain eyes, rubber legs for a tail, peacock body, and a black hen hackle behind the eyes.
  4. It takes me awhile to climatize. The same weather we are having now will feel good to me by mid-January ....... But right now I'd rather not even go out to the mailbox.
  5. Phil just got over a case of the East coast coughing, hacking, snots........and now he's contemplating a polar bear plunge. 🤔 I swear, the boy ain't gonna be happy until he's on a ventilator, and there's a go-fund me page. 🙄
  6. Simms has a sizing chart on their website. Write down your measurements and browse the chart. That's the best (only) way to assure a good fit.
  7. Somebody should make a wading jacket with loops (or clips) for your wader belt. If you did go down the result wouldn't be that bad at all.
  8. I guarantee that sock smelled better before he ate it, than it did afterwards. 🥴
  9. My mom bought me a pair of heated socks once. They took a D battery and kept my feet nice and toasty for 5-7 hours. Then one day my bird dog ate one of them, and for a week I had to keep snipping pieces of yellow and black wire from his butt hole until it all worked its way out.
  10. There is something wrong with an individual that will only donate to the needy if someone jumps into ice cold water on an ice cold day. I'll pledge 50.00 But only if you'll agree to stay dry.
  11. So are copperheads, but neither get a free pass around my home.
  12. I went under halfway through a float on a cold 26°-38° day when my wading boot got caught on the gunnel while getting out of my canoe. Went horizontal in 4' of water for about 20 seconds and really thought I was gonna be screwed. Luckily my wader belt did its job, and the fleece jacket and polypro long johns I had on kept me surprisingly comfortable after I got over the initial shock. I was able to fish throughout the remainder of the day. Caught some nice fish that afternoon too. 👍 The worst part for me was that, once I realized that I was gonna be ok, I really wanted a cigarette...... but those little rascals had turned to mush. 😅
  13. Have you ever considered that a key move in this whole dis-arming of America agenda might be the ever growing number of clinical diagnosis cases, and prescriptions? Seems like almost everyone has been diagnosed with some ailment that requires potentially mind altering meds......and anyone on those meds really shouldn't be driving, or packing around firearms. I'm surprised at this point that it's even legal to have a bottle of whiskey, a joint, a bottle of anti-depressants, and a gun cabinet all in the same house.
  14. I have a prestine 30 Evinrude, and will have a good 40 Evinrude ready in the Spring if you're wanting a little more HP. Not sure what the boat is rated for, but I'd make a trade for the 25. CMC has bolt-on tilt units but they are pricey and kinda heavy/overbuilt.
  15. Ahem! 😜

  17. @Terrierman Wake up and do your job that you take so seriously! 😁

    What's Cooking?

Tater soup w/ lil'smokies & grilled cheese. No delivery, but plenty of chairs. 😋
  19. Coons & possums get a free pass around here. I like the fact that I can toss fish guts, and science experiments from the refrigerator out behind the house.....and it magically disappears overnight. Feral cats, armadillos, starlings, and cowbirds get pelleted.
  20. If onboard computers were so smart then they'd know that the fuel tank wasn't part of the "engine". 🙄
  21. Oh definitely. Anything with grizzly hackle just screams MIDGE !
  22. The standard RC definitely has been catching fish for YEARS. The problem with red floss though, is that when wet it just looks BROWN, especially when looking from underneath. A color combo that truly contrasts at every light angle regardless....... especially a color that resembles FISH EGGS or insect egg sacks !!!! Dude, that's just gotta work, right? 👍 Add that with a general body style of a Crackleback/Wooly Worm/ Griffiths Gnat.......I mean it just doesn't get any more "proven" than that. How can the Legal Weed not be the most productive fly to ever evolve? I mean c'mon! I should go down in the anals of flyfishing fame for this one! 😁 Can you tell that I'm stoned? 😂
  23. There's a theory that the more you protect yourself from germs......the more susceptible you become to ill effects from them. If you drop a Vienna sausage on the outhouse floor......pick that sumbitch up and EAT IT ! 👍 Got a piece of moldy jerky? pinch off the green fuzzys and chow down! Eventually you'll have the immunity of a dumpster possum.
  24. Yeah I've really latched onto this broken body "theme", but with more contrast than the typical dark-on-dark coachman thing. Our success with the Dalmatian Trude has me exploring other ways to incorporate it. I'm convinced that I'm on to something here, but I haven't exactly figured it out yet. 🤔 Silhouetted against the sky, it gives an effect that nothing else really does......I think.
  25. There were 2 drownings that same day, the other was here in the Gravois arm of LO. Not sure which case this applies to, but in one of them the guy was found tangled up in some braided fishing line and apparently couldn't get to shore.
