It may not piss until the thermostat opens up. Not sure on that model. -
So I've decided to start fishing LoTO...

Is the ramp at Der'Vaters Edge still open and available to launch for a small fee? -
Hybrid stripers, being a fish that rely predominantly on MAN to reproduce and stock, are always gonna be "here today/gone tomorrow". Similar to trout in the white ribbon areas. From what I've heard it seems that hybrids are noticably scarce below Bagnell this year too. I suspect that the majority are getting stocked in Truman, and the Covid fiasco likely has the production down considerably. If Lake O has received a stocking this year I haven't heard about it. I'm gonna guess that it hasn't..... THANKFULLY 😁

Yet another one conceived during the coldest month of the year..... in between hunting and fishing season. Nothing else to do but cook & screw. 👍

The best bite for Whites & Hybrids right now is not out where all of that craziness is going on anyway. If you had made your way to the far backends of the bigger creeks and coves, and swapped out the spoons and heavy swimbaits for lipless crankbaits and topwater stuff..... you'd have probably done better. The mass population of shad haven't made their way into those areas quite yet, so the fish that live in those zones are way more likely to react to an easy meal. Try it again, but instead of beginning your search on MAIN LAKE POINTS & HUMPS 🙄 try beginning your search in the far upper reaches of the larger feeder creeks (all the way back until your trolling motor is kicking up mud), and then start making your way out. I promise you'll intercept some fish alot quicker that way.....and you won't have to deal with any heavy boat traffic while you're fishing. 👍. The best action I've seen recently has been on topwater Crease flys over 2-4' of water in the evenings. Where did you launch at ? -

Your water pump housing is above the water line. The pump can't prime like that. It's better to use muffs, so it forces water into the pump housing...... otherwise you'll burn the impeller up. -
Halloween cookies are happening around here And this is what I have to deal with....if I want to eat one

Not gonna bash you for it, but I've never noticed that it made a reliable difference in their positioning or their willingness to chase and bite up in the lake. Tailwater areas where the current is more drastic..... it definitely positions them. -

You won't find much feedback on here from the guys that fish LO regularly. They all read the stuff here (I know this because I get comments from customers all the time regarding topics on here) but they seldom contribute. It's been that way forever. Honestly though, if anyone tells you anything different from what I told you, it's likely inaccurate. Jus'sayin'. 😊 There are a few isolated spots that occasionally are good for hybrids (like the ledge at Porter Mill bend) but they are hardly worth mentioning because you'll get blanked there a dozen times for every one time that you catch a few. -
Any younger and you'll be raising her kids and helping sort out all the other baggage.

I've been in some really cool ones. I just really don't like it when somebody buys the property and tries to commercialize it. -

I've lived in the lake area since 1998 and have never even seen bridal cave. It's just a landmark. Seen lots of pictures, but that's it. Never had the desire to step foot in Jacob's cave either, and it's just over the hill from my house. 🤷 -

The area almost within sight of Coffman access is possibly the best catfish/hybrid striper zone on the lower end of the lake. I don't know why, or what it is about that particular area that they like.... but when someone around the lower lake area starts telling stories about catching lots of big hybrids, or big blues.....you just automatically know exactly (within a mile or so) where they were fishing. The only other area that could be as good as the upper Osage (Warsaw area) for hybrids and cats would be from HaHaTonka to Bridal cave. I hope you catch them ALL and get them out of here. 👍 -
Water is still pretty warm

Yes it is ! The best way I've found to grab them is over the top of their head and firmly/quickly clamp their gill plates closed. They tend to relax and hold still when grabbed and held that way. But it takes a little practice. If you miss on the initial grab.... you're probably gonna bleed. -
Funny how times have changed. 20 years ago a man would have gotten a raise for that. Now, he gets an asschewin', and a complaint is filed against him. 🙄 It won't be long until a person could loose their job for not taking long enough breaks.

You know about the role the snake played ? "You shalt not surely die".... and all that. Eat the friggin fruit, ya stupid twat ! 😂 Ya know that it couldn't have been an apple, right? Who decided to call it an apple instead of a fig ?

That's why all he ever got was Old dogs, Children, and Watermelon wine. You ever noticed that all those old timer song lyrics always included some form of liquor ? "I like BEER....it makes me a jolly good fellow". Face it, we all come from a long lineage of drunks.....and have metamorphosized into a population of druggies, drunks, and potheads. I'm probably the only person on this forum that isn't pharmaceutically corrupted. -
So, what's your part of that job ? I'm trying to think of ways that I could be of any help.......and all I can come up with is picking up cigarette butts out of the parking lot, or handing out T-shirts, or masks. Do you get a little sticker to put on your shirt, like you get when you "vote" ? I could hand out stickers. 👍 Do you get hazard pay for being placed near unvaccinated people ?

Definitely not. You've never seen ME on Jeopardy.

There's always been a motivator. Women, whiskey, money, ect. The ones who already had everything they desired, definitely weren't the ones who did the labor. The hardest job to complete is the one that was paid for up-front. -

I hear stories from elsewhere about druggies and theft and how the two are related...... but we don't have that problem around here. Gravois Mills Crackheads are the most dependable, trustworthy, and helpful people on the planet. To the point that I truly feel that their removal from society (via law enforcement) is doing the community a disservice. Totally serious. They tend to live by a "code" that elevates them far above the most prestigious at the local churches, as far as I'm concerned. -
Yeah I knew to flip the blade over. No problem there. I just can't get the thing off the stupid tires. WAIT! Why do I need wheels & tires? Be right back.... Note: If you never hear from me again I've joined the Space X fleet. 👍

Can't, he's dead. Are there any decendants here? 😊

And it's a darn good thing too. Because without methamphetamine, houses couldn't get built, the roads and bridges couldn't get maintained, and there'd be no mail or package delivery. Hell, I had to install a water softener and replace a water heater MYSELF just the other day..... because there obviously isn't enough meth in the community. I was totally willing to pay someone else to do it, but couldn't find a single person with enough desire to work for a few hours.
