Don't freak out prematurely. Heat rises, so cylinder #1 is the first to succumb to an overheat. And typically a 2 cylinder engine will blow the head gasket on the top cylinder before you have catastrophic cylinder damage. Giving you a near-nothing compression reading. Remove the cylinder head and inspect the condition of the cylinder, piston, and gasket. If the gasket is blown, but the cylinder and piston look ok....Refresh the gasket AND the water pump.....and try again.

My guess is that they assumed the year of manufacture by the serial # , but that's not how it's done.

Neutral safety switch. Prevents the motor from being able to be started when in gear.

I have this to say about FFS..... You can't complain about it, or bash it, in any way, or else 60% of the Bass/Crappie fishing population will not like you. Not only will they not speak to you (unless they need/want something)....they won't even wave at you when you pass them on the road. Secondly, and more importantly to ME, is that now that I've experimented with it and know the kind of $#!t that fish actually do..... I'm far less interested in fishing for them 😕 I was way more happy and enthusiastic about fishing back when I wasn't 100% sure, but THOUGHT that I knew. I was mentally better off & happier before I ever started messing with livescope. And I think alot of middle-aged/Older guys were. Regardless of their own personal reasons. It's a TOOL alright .....but IMO it's like using a robot to pet your dog & kiss your wife.....Your dog loves to be petted, and your wife loves to be kissed....but neither will love YOU anymore.
