We used to have a beer with summer sausage, cheese, and crackers for lunch. Did it for years until one day at the High bank hole a Ranger came whipping in there with an attitude and read us the riot act. Used to carry a flask and do the occasional warm-up shot during the Winter also. No more. I don't wanna have to feed a lawyers family for 6 months. The park float shuttles don't allow coolers with alcohol in the canoes either. You'd think that would kill their outfitter biz.

For lake bass- Lucky Craft Pointers and the old school spoonbill rogues. River Smallies- 3-4" Floating Rapala. Big brown Trout- 5-6" floating Rapala I've never been on a good Summer or Fall hard jerkbait bite on a lake. For me it's all about dead or dying shad. Some guys can pull it off though.

I'd like to read the article where they explain why making White bass/Striper mutts was a good idea. Why not just stock stripers? Stripers can live anywhere that hybrids can. So what niche did they think Hybrids could fill....besides screwing up the gene pool of native White bass?

I've never acted like a dick to a badge wearer. Hell, I've never acted like a dick to ANYONE. I speak my mind, and inquire about things that don't make any sense if someone is going all authoritarian on me. If they choose to take that as "acting like a dick", then that's all on them. You act like I just sit around in public flipping off cops or something. I'm friendly as hell right up until the point where I am put into defense mode.

Yeah I gotta stay here at the shop and manage the one-man pit crew. Took delivery today of a bushel basket full of livewell pumps, bilge pumps, trim relays, primer bulbs, fuel hose, silicone, and water pump kits. If you'd like to work a side job for the weekend just pack a lunch and bring Band-Aids. 😊 -

Great trucks! Standard cab short beds with the 5.3L are very hard to find now. It's the perfect truck for what I do.

We've got an old rocking chair like that. Would be real comfy if it wasn't for the lathe turned sticks running up the back. Your butt stays nice and cool. I'd really like to have my 99 Chevy Z71 sportside totally restored. Best truck ever. I would gladly throw 7k into it if I could find someone to do the work. Know anyone? Still a good truck but closing in on 300k miles and showing its age. Me and that truck have had some really big times together.

If you watch Orion in the sky now, you can tell what time it is. He starts hunting at dusk and hunts all night. We have a woodpecker that serves as a pretty reliable alarm clock. He makes his pass on our gutters every morning.

Technology is great in some aspects, but sucks in others. Me and my family are way too dependant on our smart phones. If that service ever goes down we are gonna have problems. Problems that we wouldn't have had if we never had them, that's for sure.

Some things reach a peak in their development, and people need to realize when that happens, and leave it alone from that point on. Continuous "improvement" after the best design is achieved, is what phucks up evolution. Outboard motors, and pickup trucks are a perfect example. Do you know, that after all these years, they are still "improving" on the design of.....the hammer. 🙄 They just can't leave $#!t alone.

I don't find them funny at all. If one makes a mistake and decides that he needs to cover it up....he can ruin your life really easy. Happens alot.
